Course Curriculum Overview
Mechanical Engineering covers different aspects such as automobiles, engines, instrumentation, design and aerospace which fascinated me to took up this course in such a reputed college. The college's curriculum is old fashioned but aligns pto 80% with the current industry demands. It would be better if the teachers cover al the topics upto some depth and took extra sessions to clear student's doubts. The diificulty level of exams will be easy for the students who follow the curriculum with focus and enthusiasm to learn.
Placement Experience
The students are eligible for the campus placements from their 7th semester onwards for campus placements. Almost 10 companies visited considering all departments. The highest package recorde during our batch was 10 LPA and the average was about 4 LPA. Software engineer-1 was the best profile offered to the students who got the highest packages. Almost 35% of the students from all branches got placed as it was the period of recession and I'm planning to prepare for SSC exams and dream is to become an income tax officer and I'm on my way.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions
As I got seat through the APECET exam through lateral entry and as I'm also eligible for the Jagananna Vidhya Deevena Scheme the Governement of AP paid my entire tution fee during my course curriculum. But for the students who are not eligible for the JVD scheme like the children of Government employees need to pay a total of Rs.10,000/- as tution fee and Rs.2850/- as special fee for every academic year. There will be a total of Rs.5000/- needed to be paid as caution deposit for students who wants to take admission into the college hostels and there will be no extra fee except these.
Campus Life
The campus life was adorable and enjoyable there will be many club and fun activities like the NCC, NSS, Innovation, Communication etc. which brings out the real potential from the students. The fest season is in between JANUARY-MARCH in every year where a number of fests like the college day, departmet fests, sports day and fromation day will be held. The extra curricular activities are very active and encouragive at JNTUA and will be very much funfilling.
Hostel Facilities
Almost every non-local student choose to accomodate in the college hostel itself and I've made the same. The menu and food quality is very good and the food will be eatable. The hostel registration couldbe done by reaching the college's hostel office . The best part about the college's hostel facilty is that it's very much affordable with the fee varying between 3k-4k a month.
Admission
No I've put only one option in my counselling and that is JNTUA Anatapur as it is a reputed college and it provides good oppurtunities to expand my knowledge and can turn me into a good engineer. The admission process is very simple as I'm through diploma background after clearing the APECET exam I applied for the counselling inengineering for the lateral entry program and in the option filing I've filed my only priority as JNTUA college and after getting the seat I reported at the college within the stipulated time to secure my admission.
Faculty
The faculty to student ratio is good at our college. There are number of professors, assistant professors and adhoc faculty. In our department everyone's favourite is our very own Dr.B.Om Prakash sir who is the staff co ordinator in the department who is very much supportive for every student and encourages everyone. The exams will be held in comfortable timings one mid examination in every 2 months and a sem exam in every 6 months.
