Course Curriculum Overview
I'm a huge fan of ayurved that's why I'm her also it's very interesting to know ur roots. Since they follow curriculum properly they are actually making us capable of treating the world also by guiding at the same time for future goals. They should be more extracurricular activities for the students to get that extra excitement and interest. The frequency and timing of exams are tought to manage but it's a med college what else to expect, with time ur management is improved and then u can manage all the frequency and timing of exams with more other things to do on ur list. The management skiils might feel difficult in the start but they r just molding u to the point u became a expert at ur management skills.
Internships Opportunities
They have their own 2 hospitals, one is allopathic and other is ayurvedic. They provide u internship there at their hospitals under their professional doctors. Allopathic hospital have a great patient flow than ayurvedic but with time the patient flow is also increasing at the ayurvedic hospital. I'm not there at internship yet but as far I know they are doing great.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions
I got admission in 2022 and... 1st yr - Tution fee - 2,29,200/- Security fee - 25,000/- (in 1st yr only ) Miscellaneous charges - 10,000/- Course Registration charges - 1500/- (in 1st yr only) Exam fee - 15,000 (as per university decisions) Councelling stamp card - 1000/- There is no concession in the fees everybody have had to pay full fees wether it's me or my batchmates even if they are from management or SC or SC or any reservation quota. There is one or two scholarships available for the reserving quota students at the middle of every year.
Campus Life
There are 2-3 fests held by the university every year they are the alumni meet, tech fest and sports fest.. alumni meet is around Feb and March.. tech fest is around mid summer.. sport fests around winter. There are 2 libraries in the university, one is at the ayurveda department where everything is in relevance to ayurveda but the other is central library that is used by the whole university and that's really big and all the content and range of books are available, also u get excess to E-library. Mics are used by the teachers so that everyone can listen to the properly and smart boards are used. University allows everyone to enroll for the selection and participation in their choice of sport and let them audition for the other fests also. There is no student run social group or club or portals but there is Dean student welfare assigned for the students if anyone have any issues u can just approach to him and he listens and he solves he's really helpful and good person.
Admission
I actually applied everywhere in my home town but later I realised it is always and only better to choose a university over college so here I'm at the IIMT University, Meerut. Yes I obviously got rejected by other medical college due to my rank, I could not give my best in my neet exam due to health issues but somehow I managed to secure a decent score and get admission. Eligibility- PCB student in 12th, attempt neet and pls try to achieve a good score, wait for the Councelling.. enroll for the online counselling, fill ur preference list smartly and then you'll get a college alloted to u, the u have to got to Lucknow for further documents verification and ur admission will be confirmed. The better u score the better college u get, the smartly ur fill ur preference list the better college u get, overall admission experience is a rollercoaster ride but u just need to trust the process.
Faculty
Per class there are 60 students with lots of faculty members. Most of the teachers are supporting, understanding and friendly. Only one or two teachers are egoistic in each year others are very good and provide great guidance you can easily approach anyone by just asking. There is Dr. Pradeep sir in first year, he's the best teacher, maybe u feel he's strict in the start but it is all to protect you from other harmful beings around, you will realise this after 3months when u got to know everybody around u.. only this person will move mountains for u, and it is him only who is making this department work successful as it is now, always hard working teacher. Overall the physiology faculty and samhita faculty is hats off amazing. I didn't like anatomy faculty much because of them being less friendly and mostly arrogant. There are exams after every 40-60 days. Always there are some exams approaching. Exams are easy, less students fail. They Only follow curriculum academically.
Other Applied Colleges
Swami Vivekanand Subharti University - [SVSU] | Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS)
Too much costly and faculty is very arrogant
