Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

They have a proper timing on what to teach and how to teach and they make sure they complete it before the internals or end sem exams they make sure to take extra class in case they aren't completed with the class the course also gives us holidays based on when our Acca exams are and give us 15 to 20 days of holidays in preparation before that and they give us a 6 paper exemption from the total 13 papers so we only have to write 7 papers for the acca exams and not the 13 ones that we need they can improve it by making the classes start a little late and make sure they give proper caoaching to their students

Placement Experience

2.5

I don't know much about the campus placement in our college but I know the majority or the major companies come there for students but the jobs they offer are very limited and not as much as compared to the students who want the placement the average package I know is 3 lakhs but the most is 15 lakhs

Fees and Financial Aid

I am an nri student and the fees I paid for the first year is 140000 and the second and third year is 80000 the fees for the development is 40000 the first year and the maintenance and development fees for the second year is 77000 while the miscellaneous fees is 4300 and the language fees is 7500 and you have to pay langauge fees for any language other than Hindi and Kannada and there are scholarships based on their percentage in 12th they get 15000 if they get above 95% there's also scholarships based on attendance that they give at the end of the year as well to the students

Campus Life

2

There are a lot of people you can find that are like you and you can easily fit into a group but not all of them are good people and there are people who will take advantage of you so you have to be careful when you come here and know that it isn't a school and not everyone is here to be friends with you and some will try to take advantage of you there are also those with bad habits that'll rope you to do it with them and you'll be peer pressured to do so with them

Hostel Facilities

1.5

The facilities provided by The hostel is not good the bathrooms aren't clean the hot water is outside the bathroom and you only get cold water inside the bathroom the space of one isn't that big and there have been many insects in it as well and it's very unhygienic each floor had around 6 bathrooms on one side so there are 12 in one floor and there are 4 floors of the hostel they have a lift but stopped it because many people go on it even though there is a 5 person limit to it and so people have to walk up and down when they leave for college or go the mess the food provided by the mess isn't that good they give either chicken or egg and the chicken has so much food colorizing that it sticks to your plate and hands the hostel wardens aren't friendly and very rude of you don't do what they say and yell at you even if you don't break any rules the also force you to pay the fees even if you're not staying there or have left midway and tell that they'll block your hall ticket

Admission

I have gotten into Kristi jayanti and Jain college in Banglore but haven't gotten a reply from them in time and this university was telling me to pay the fees for their college or else I wouldn't get in the college even though the college starts 3 months later and people still don't pay the fees that early on and pay it later then after I paid the fees both kristu jaynti and Jain called and told me I'm accepted and I can come but aloysius wasn't taking a refund and they refused to give so there was no other option but later on they gave other students if they went and fought with with the student admission dean

Faculty

4

The faculty members of the college are all very good people at least the ones I met other than a few of them I met most of them will get to know you on a personal basis if you meet them after class or during break in their staffrooms and they'll gladly talk to you they teach properly and make sure that every student understands the topic they have taught for the class

The placement cell in my college is okay they do get few good companies for campus recruitment and they guide us thoroughly how and when we should apply for placement they do conduct some sessions and bring people to guide us with everything. The percentage of students getting placement is 50 or 60 percentage. My plan after degree is to continue pursuing acca and then finding a job abroad

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for campus placements from the 5th semester. Our college has a dedicated placement department that really guides and supports us through the whole process. Big companies like Deloitte and KPMG visit the campus every year, and since I’m doing B.Com + ACCA, there are plenty of great opportunities in finance and accounting. Last year, around 8 students from the B.Com batch got placed in finance roles. The average package was about ?6 LPA. The best part is that placements keep getting better every year, and the college has maintained a 100% placement record. They’ve even tied up with foreign companies, which opens up more global opportunities for us. After completing my degree, I plan to build a strong career in finance—hopefully starting with a reputed company like Deloitte or KPMG—and later explore opportunities abroad.

Placement Experience:

The college offers placement through the COC (Career Opportunities) cell. Students become eligible for placements by the 5th Semester. The companies which come to hire include the Big 4s, (KPMG, Delloite, EY and BCG), Fedral Bank,TCS, etc. Almost 70% of students opt for higher eduaction so the less number of students get placed at the UG level at least. I am personally figuring out which path to choose but I have placement in mind at the end of the degree.

Course Curriculum Overview:

My specific aspect of the curriculum that influenced my decision to choose the course is the ACCA along with Bcom. Most importantly the 9 paper exemptions provided that gives flexibility in the context of studying. The curriculum is well corporate and real world oriented. They prepare us on how to face the real corporate world through their curriculum by conducting different seminars and workshops.
