The best if not the best college in dentistry

Course curriculum is designed keeping in mind the need of a future dentist Dentistry as a field was very intriguing, that's why I chose it The curriculum is designed really well to accommodate the needs of future dentists Many times the need for in-depth knowledge of certain subjects isn't really required in dentistry and that portion can be improved, atleast 2 exams should be taken by University as a single yearly exam can create a lot of burden on students Only one university exam is taken in the current course where the marks of that exam decide wether or not we are promoted to the next class

Fees are on semi-yearly basis, 1,57,000 in each term. 3,14,000 a year It has now increased to around 3,84,000 per year but the payment structure is still the same For SC/ST students they can opt for scholarship and can even opt for a free education, for non creamy OBC there is a scheme (MYSY) in which half of the fees is paid by the government, and only the half amount should be paid by the student

Our college is known for its garba, they organise grand garba every year, other festivals are also celebrated with great enthusiasm, infrastructure in department is great but the grounds and other co-curricular infrastructure can be improved We have freshers, an annual event named ignite(may), garba event also named ignite , sports week(November- December), food fest (December-january) , Ganesh chaturthi celebration The library has the latest books on every subject and are present in a good quantity which assures that every student get their choice of book The classrooms are equipped with smart boards and every department has intra-oral camera, technology wise the college is one of the best college in dentistry if not the best Their aren't any clubs in our college

The fees of this college were affordable to me also it is associated with Gujarat University which lead me to this college, also this college is known for its student-exam passing ratio, which also affected my decision Admission is through NEET only I got confirmation from dental college of bopal, AMC dental, karnavati dental But chose my college for the same reasons mentioned above I got rejected from GDC as I didn't cleared the cut off in NEET exam

There are almost 5-6 faculties per department, and for postings 12 students are handled by a single faculty, leading to enough attention for every student Prashant sir (OS), riddhi mam (prostho) are few of my favourite faculties as they are well versed with there knowledge and also treat us really well There are term ends after the end of every department tenure, and the marks of the exam depends on the department There are annual and semi annual exams 70 and 35 marks respectively Course can be felt sometimes very primitive many times upto date, it depends on the topic being taught
