Course Curriculum Overview
The course structure was good. The curriculum touched all the aspects of basic dentistry and the emphasized highly upon the ethical values which should be followed by a medical practitioner.
College Events
The college is recognized by the Dental Council of India. The way this institute has progressed over the years is magnificent. It is the only dental college in Gujarat which has a Cbct machine - that’s a huge advantage for the students and the patients. I had many memorable moments with this college. The teaching and the course curriculum is also good
Fee Structure And Facilities
The fee for one year BDS program is 3,14,000 INR. The overall course is quite expensive. The fees are paid in annual terms. The college has a digitied Auditorium, labs with latest equipments required for dental treatment and teaching. Library is also flushed with thousands of books and numerous journals, including the personal journal of the college published monthly
Campus Life
Campus life was pretty mundane in the Ahmedabad Dental College. It was all about academics. The management was highly focussed on learning, that’s why very little attention was paid to the extracurricular activities. The limited extracurricular activities were the workshops and the guest lectures and symposiums, which were compulsory for the students.
Hostel Facilities
The hostel life was good, but that’s because of the people and friends. During my batch there was only hostel for boys and one for girls. The warden was strict and ill behavioured. The food was also bad, plus the hygiene was also bad. The rooms were spacious though.
Admission
Admission to college is granted on the basis of the Gujarat State Counselling. My NEET score were not good that’s why I had to wait for the final merit list to get the admission.
Faculty
The theory classes were pretty boring. The practical classes were quite fun and where most of the learning happens. The faculty supported us during the internship.
