Remarks

Our college is too good and one of the best colleges in our state. All the students and teachers are very helpful. I got a new big family. All the teachers and students are like a family member.

All the exams are in BSc nursing is both practical and the theory base. they take an exam on every unit completion by which we can easily understand each and every topic. the study is totally fair and research driven and very much relevant for the students.

Placement Experience

Our college provides us good job opportunities in both government as well as private hospital and college provide us internship.

College Events

Our college organizes time to time educational tour. We celebrate an annual function. We celebrate sports weekend at our college and many time College organize many competitions in which students can develop their skills. The college organizes blood donation camps.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee structure of the Doon Institute of Medical science is very low as compared to other colleges in the Dehradun but the quality of teaching very good. You can find scholarships from the state government or Central government through the Institute of medical science.

Fees and Financial Aid

No not such thing. I availed a loan on my own security by a bank. And the college also provides scholarships and colleges to help financially helps the students.

Campus Life

The Doon Institute of Medical science campus is very large and labs are well structured. The library of DIMS had more than 12000 books articles and journals that are updated from time to time. The Doon Institute of Medical science campus is fully Wi-Fi enabled.

Alumni/Alumna

In our college, the previous pass out students is also dedicated to the college. They organized an alumni meet every year on the college campus in our college. The juniors and seniors are like brothers & sisters.

Admission

I just see the poster of the Institute of Medical Sciences then I contact the admission department of college they are very supportive they help me to find out to select the course. Tell me about each and every course in a very descriptive way and after that, I applied for the course here.

Faculty

Our college faculties are so helpful and cooperative. They always help us in library book collection & many more works. Our teachers also help us with our studies. They are always ready to solve our problem and we can share our problems with our teachers without any hesitation.

Great teacheds regarding ayurvedic and modern medicine

Dislikes

The college doesn't have much patients and lacks clinical practice
College lacks basic resources for learning practical aspects like CPR or IV
College only focuses on theoretically based studying methods

Course Curriculum Overview:

Majority of subjects are really helpful with their clinical applications in either diagnosing or treating the patients but some other subjects like Sanskrit grammar, padartha vigyan and others are just irrelevant and pose no significant use, the exams get difficult with each passing years as you have to study around 5 subjects per year and each subject has 2 papers and you have to pass in both of them.

They have a cadaver thing available here.
Professors are good in there work. They do hardwork on students
There place is surrounded by mountains nd forest so is good escape from city life.

Dislikes

There js nor proper transportation facilities
We are bot allowed to have our own vehicle in hostel
Hostel are in very bad condition nd complain are not listened

Exams are difficult recently i had my exams they very tough. Its a 100 mark paper for each subject. Many subjects have 2 exams rather. A 3 hours exam were conducted. College even holds the internal exams every 6 months.

After graduating you hold digree in BAMS you can practice or your can do government job of AMO ayurvedic medical officer and you can go for post graduation research. There is good career opportunities. The average salary of bams doctor in government is fiffty thousand to one lakh seventy five thousand.

Likes

Faculty is really good very much qualified from good universities
Loved how every student was treated equally by teachers
Loved their kind & compassionate approach of teachinv things

Dislikes

Fee structure is too much as compared to other facilities
As a medical student they couldn’t provide us even with a body for anatomy lab
They used to ask for fee of next year in advance

I was preparing for neet and i got admission into this..i did not like it in the beginning but i have started loving it so much now. There are no such improvements required in teaching curriculum it was really great.. Nothing to complain as they conducted exams on weekly and monthly basis as well for our preparation

Likes

The Faculty is very good in teaching skills.
The Scholarship Program is available to almost everyone.
The Campus life is very cool and joyable.

Dislikes

Few Faculty members in some departments.
There is no big auditorium in the campus.
Lack of some basic facilities like Wifi and other things.

Course Curriculum Overview:

First of all, I chose this course because of its rising demand and also because I have a keen interest in learning about Ayurveda, its remedies, and its treatment. In teaching the faculty is good overall. But in some departments, the faculty members are very few. The faculty member is well qualified. They all are mds from different regions of India. Many of them are from BHU too. The term exams are conducted in every 6 months(total 3 times) as the 1st prof. is of one and a half years now. And the periodic test is conducted 3 times in every 6 months(Total 9 times) and the Last Final exam is conducted at the end of the prof.

I chose this course because Ayurveda is a very wide field it is not a science it is like a Veda that we are reading so it has a huge scope in the coming era after Covid time. Students are to faculty ratio is completely fulfilled as per the norms of the NCISM committee Each and Every Single faculty had completed their MD ( maters ). As it's a professional course so the exam is according to the university and quite difficult to pass.
