- This college provides quality education and the professors are very helping in nature.
- The college environment is like home and all the students follows the discipline properly.
- The college infrastructure is very good.According to me it has the best infrastructure among the other institutions in the district. It has every essential facilities including NCC, central library, computer classes, gymnasium and other facilities.
Dislikes
- The college doesn't have a common room for boys. They alloted the verandah of the college auditorium for boys.
- The college doesn't have a parking shed so that students have to park their vehicles in open sunlight.
- The office staffs are very arrogant in nature.
Course Curriculum Overview
This course is very interesting and knowledgeable and the curriculum prepared by the board was very good but it needs some improvements like more numbers of lectures, provide references and etc. The course is very vast so students need more lectures in broad for better understanding.
Fees and Financial Aid
Per year I'm paying nearly ?4000. The admission fees varies from ?3500 to ?4500 for APL category students and ?400 to ?600 for BPL category students.The college does not provide any scholarship for students but sometimes it will avail some government scholarship as this college was affiliated with Assam University.
Campus Life
The college celebrates all the annual festivals like pujo,eid,holi, Christmas, teacher's day, women's day and other national festivals. The college's Central library provides a huge range of reference materials and other books almost 99% books are available in the library. The classrooms has facilities like smart boards.
Admission
I have choosen this college as it was the best performing college of Barak valley with a impressive percentages in Higher secondary as well as in degree. There are many rank holders from this college. To take admission in SS College, students have to apply online in the college's website. The selection is merit based and last year the cutoff marks in my department was 55%.
Faculty
In my department there are 5 faculties and they are very helpful in nature they teaches us in a very good and easy way so that every student can understand their lectures. I, personally, like the HOD of our department Mr. R. Chakraborty. There are 2 internal exam per semester and the questions for the internal assessment was prepared by the college professors but the annual exam's question paper were made by the University.
