Ramji Kalakuracha's Review On Andhra University - [AU], Visakhapatnam

I appeard for the EAMCET examination through which I've opted this college in counselling. I got a rank of 15k. This college was a university college . The certificate issued by this college has a very good value and the college atmosphere is very pleasant which is the main reason for me to opt for this college.

The course is designed in such a way that the student understands various fields in pharmacy and medicine in a step wise manner which will be very easy. Both theory as well as practical work will be taught simultaneously. Even well visit hospitals where some of our practical work will be done like ADR reporting drug interaction reporting etc.

Our college provides no stipend to us. But there will be an exemption of fee for us in the 6th year during this year we have to complete our intern in hospital.

So as of now placements are very good to us as the college is one of the oldest and well reputed colleges In whole India.we receive placements regularly from companies like mylan, Esia,Reddy's, Sun pharma and many more. Usually during the last one month of the course completion we'll receive maximum number of placements.

Very year college day is celebrated in our college which is a grand event apart from that we have a Student Activity Centre which organises events regularly on every week. The events include artistic which include singing-drawing-dumcharads etc , linguistic like English development grammar development. Sports like cricket ,badminton, volleyball, tennicoit ,short put will be conducted.

For our course the fee is 68,000 per annum which is low compared to that of other colleges which offering the course for 98,000. This course fee is very high compared to that of other courses related to health sciences. As the course has been highly oriented towards both patient care and clinical research.

Unfortunately till now I haven't been eligible for any scholarship. But the university provides a wide range of scholarships.

The gender ratio will be M:F 1:2. Very year soon many skill development workshops will be organised in our college apart from them during college day celebrations we have a time of 10 days to carry-on the extracurriculars. Labs are good enough for practical and research work. Religion discrimination is not much in our college. Politics are not at all encouraged .

Coming to our course in particular we'll be having exams in the annual format not semister wise. In between we'll have two lab and theory internals out of them the internal in which we score the most will be considered. Weight age is 30intenal marks+ 70 main exam.

Our faculty were exceptionally good. But here what happens is some profs send their scholars to teach the classes. Some of them are very good while some are worst at teaching. But overall faculty was good and they will highly assist us in both studies and research work.
