Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

The course curriculum and practicals experience was a good one. Mock practicals were taken for practice and thorough reviews were given to individual students for areas of improvement. The number of appratuses could be increased as practicals sometimes went on for a long time for no reason.

Internships Opportunities

3.5

We went to visit golden age old age home for dementia patients and schizophrenia awareness association. It greatly helped with experience Another opportunity was from ms. Archana kulkarni, who has a clinic near my own place, she provided a wonderful opportunity for growth in the field

Placement Experience

4

For bachelors degree in psychology, we dont get direct placements from campus but it isnt applicable to commerce or science stream students. Our professors also give us contacts to reach out to for opportunities in our field. Placement rates are good, and the staff helps you out well

Fees and Financial Aid

Financial assistance is provided to the needy along with sportmen. Scholarships of upto 15000 rupees have been provided to many national players every year. Fees are 18970 rs or roughly 19k annually No charges for parking No extra money required (except for journals, which you will buy on your own and for certain field trips) Campus employment includes placement drives, guest lectures and activity based sessions and career guidance related seminars.

Campus Life

3.5

Lots of festivals and days are celebrated in college and the library is filled with all the reference books one might need to complete the course. The campus is small but good enough There is ample parking, clean toilets, well ventilated classrooms which are big, comfortable and clean Computer labs, psychology and physics and chemistry labs, are all available for different streams Sports department excels but college representing students could be given more attention in my opinion The arts faculty also has student and cultural committees which is an amazing pro for arranging fests anf other things

Admission

The admission process was pretty simple. I had to register on an online platform, pay the fees and then continue the course I even got help from my (then) HoD (late dr. Suchismita mohanty) when i came across a problem with payment of fees. The staff is very very helpful in all sorts of ways

Faculty

4.5

While the professors changed quite a bit during the first years, the latest faculty we have had was a great teacher. She was supportive and understanding yet honest and punctual. Our general subject professors were interactive, and made the classes very enjoyable.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Realy its very tough to decide on course its very limited courses on which we have to decide. I feel that upto some extend courses should not be limited and it should not be very difficult or very much length to understand. Teaching should be on important points on which we can score more marks. Theory should be understable and it should be in very normal way. Timings for exams its should not be too short, proper time should be given to write the exam its a question of year. Frequency for exam should be held twice in a year only

Alot of people need support who are suffering from mental health. More mental health professionals, less tabboo the topic will be. The curriculum is good but can be improved alot with basic concepts and knowledge. Basic topic, future topics, job opportunities. There are class tests as well in the college, soo the students have back to back exams in between we have to attend lecture and study for it as well, events if any. It becomes hectic for students.
