Honest review of Gurukul Institute of Engineering and Technology, Kota

Nowadays, CSE is very popular among science students. I also had a deep interest in computer science before I took admission. This college is affiliated to RTU, Kota that's why it's curriculum is decided by RTU and exams are also conducted by RTU in a different college. The curriculum doesn't make you industry-ready but it's fine because this condition is the same in all universities.

The total fees per year is 40k which is bargainable. Their is no extra cost for books or anything else except hostels. I don't know about hostel fee because I live in the same city. If you are an minority student then you can get scholarship from NSP and if you are an SC/ST student then also you can get scholarship from govt. There are very less placement opportunities provided by the college and you have to prepare for off-campus placements on your own.

Campus life is not very good I say. They organize some events like sports tournament, and freshers party every year but charge fees from students. They also organize festive celebrations like Diwali and navratri celebration. You can get books of your semester for free from the library. There are cricket, volleyball and basketball playground where you can play. The washrooms are not well managed and the classrooms walls are dirty. But you can study there they will not impact your studies. There are no smartclasses in classroom.

Any 12th pcm student is eligible for b.tech. in GIET, Kota. You can directly visit the college or fill the REAP or LEEP form for admission. Their are two midterms in almost all semesters with medium difficulty.

The faculties are good and experienced. They will never skip any topic if you say that you don't understand it. They help in doubts solving. You can contact to teacher anytime if they are not taking class or not busy. They will help you.
