Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

Since the start I have always been fascinated by the medical field and knew very early on that this is what I am destined to do, there's nothing better than serving your patients and building a nation. The atmosphere of Index College provided me with the opportunity to do so, as it has all the facilities and work atmosphere.

Internships Opportunities

5

All the students that come through scholarships are required to complete a mandatory 5-year government job as a bond with a starting salary of around 60,000 rs a month. All candidates are required to complete this bond and in case if a student wants to opt out of the bond he/she must deposit an amount of 5,00,000 per year.

Fees and Financial Aid

The tuition fee is around 14,40,400 rs a year and other costs include the hostel fees which are around 1,45,000 rs a year I have availed mmvy scholarship therefore my tuition fees are all covered but the hostel feel is paid by myself. An internship stipend is provided to interns. The stipend is around 8,000 rs a month.

Campus Life

5

The Campus is situated on 30 acres of land with four lush green gardens and is soon going to be connected with four lanes and sufficient numbers of sub-lanes. The building is built such that there is abundant fresh air and a spacious complex designed to meet all future expansions and requirements. The serene and healthy environment comprises of the college building including a lecture gallery block, a separate hostel building for Boys & Girls, Multi Gym & dedicated diet center for Hostel inmates. Sports like cricket, football, hockey, badminton.

Hostel Facilities

5

Residential hostels are available for undergraduate and postgraduate students, interns, boys and girls separately. Residential areas are available for Teaching & Non-Teaching staff. The hostel rooms are of great quality available both as single as well as double occupancy. There are more than 4 Mess for the UG / PG students, Interns, teaching, residents & other non-teaching staff. The students are provided Breakfast, lunch, evening snacks & dinner. The food provided is very hygienic and healthy. Regular cleaning of the mess and canteens is managed by the maintenance staff. The quality of the food is managed by the dieticians. The food for patients is also supplied by the mess and diet chart is planned by the dieticians.

Admission

For entering the medical field one must take the national eligibility cum Entrance test(NEET). After qualifying NEET candidates must go through the counseling process and then secure a seat. The cutoff of marks for general, ews, obs, sc, and st vary.

Faculty

4.5

The faculty of Index Medical College is top-notch and without a doubt the best in the business. Most of the professors and lecturers are doctors themselves, which helps in providing education to future doctors in a more clinical and experienced way. The student-to-teacher ratio is fairly good in keeping with the size of the teaching staff as every department has good numbers of teaching staff. When faced with problems the teaching staff is always ready to help and clear any doubts.

Interview Experience

5

After qualifying neet and then completing the counseling process eligible candidates are required to submit their documents for verification afterward a visit to the college for final verification takes place

In mbbs there is internship and students get into it in final year like after completing 4.5 years of mbbs and they get stipend also. But for further studies you have to give a neet pg exam and to pursuing MD/MS you have to score a decent marks. My further plan is to clear neet pg exam and to get a medicine seat in government college.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Mbbs course is a good degree in which you get to secure your lifetime and you'll get needed companioship and good reputation. Faculty number is little low comparing to the number of students. Faculties are highly qualified but their teaching methods and management is not upto mark, lot of improvements are needed. Their are little high crises of attendance. Exams are held timely and year schedule is circulated beforehand, which is positive point comparing to other college. Passing exams both theory and practical are moderate, not too difficult or easy. Good for average students.
