Course Curriculum Overview

5

The curriculum is well based on CBME guidelines and is oriented in such a way that it creates a solid foundation for a med student which made me choose this course. The curriculum makes me more clinically aware which makes me more good of a doctor in early stage only. The teaching methods need to focus on more student to patient interaction which certainly needs improvement. The frequency and timings of exam depends on the course completion level solely as it occurs periodically from 3 months basis and 6 months basis.

Internships Opportunities

4

The internship is not in any company or stuff like that in medical college internshio occurs in the associated hospital of the medical college. The outcome of the internship is better clinical exposure a person experiences him to become a better doctor for society.

Fees and Financial Aid

The tuition fees increase policy is not there in my college which is constant that is 9,00,000. The complete cost of my education is 9,00,000 tuition fees and 25000 accomodation fees and various other charges making it upto 10 lakhs. The scholarships are available named as medhavi yojna which releases whole tuition fees from Student scoring above 85% in their 12th. The stipends awarded in internship is around 10k

Campus Life

5

The annual festivals occuring are the annual functions which are named every year on its theme and it usually occurs around the year end. The range of books available is wide ranging from all sorts of years medical books to Indian authors to international authors including clinical journals. The overview of sports and extracurricular is somewhat the area in which developement is needed because not much of sports activities occur here. There's whatsapp groups and students union of rdgmc which take in various issues of campus and helps and individual student to resolve their issues.

Admission

The eligibility of course includes clearing the cutoff if you are taking in from general quota which was 542 marks this year. The application forms and all dates are available on the councelling body of various state. The reservation benefits gives or allots seats on their reserved seat quotas which have slightly less cutoff accounting to 27% reserved seat quotas. The frequency of exams is once a year and it's difficulty is easy to moderate. The improvement needs to be done is it should be done one after the other and shouldn't take much of a students time.

Faculty

5

The faculty to student ratio is 3:150 which is quite good considering the med school scenario in mind. And the faculty are themselves doctors holding their MBBS, md qualifications. The interaction with teachers goes on a dat to day basis as their is no specific time to interact with them.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The MBBS course curriculum is quite comprehensive and well-structured, covering all the essential aspects of medical science needed for both academic growth and clinical practice. The inclusion of subjects like Anatomy, Physiology, and Biochemistry in the first year builds a strong foundation for understanding the human body and disease mechanisms. The curriculum is relevant as it gradually progresses from basic to clinical subjects, preparing students for real-world medical applications and patient care. Teaching methods such as interactive lectures, practical sessions, dissections, and clinical demonstrations make learning more engaging and concept-based. However, more emphasis on integrated teaching, case-based discussions, and exposure to real clinical settings from the early years would further enhance understanding and application. The frequency and timing of exams are generally well-planned, but sometimes the schedule can feel packed, leaving limited time for conceptual revision. Overall, the curriculum is highly relevant and effective, though incorporating more modern teaching methods, simulation-based learning, and periodic skill assessments could make it even better suited for today’s medical challenges.
