Course Curriculum Overview
The course is good but is not good enough if you want to be job ready , even if you learn entire course , you have to learn somethings from other sources as YouTube or other sites . The curriculum is old and not good for learning industry standard tools . The Shivaji University should make some changes in course so that all college under this university , including VPIMSR can teach new things .
Placement Experience
As of I am in final year now and just passed in second year , I don't have enough information about placements , however , the placement is good the package range is 1.5lpa to 7 lpa , but if you want to apply externally , then you have to work on improving skills as the course cannot be enough for external placements .
Fees and Financial Aid
The course is affordable as compared to other colleges , fees is relevant , they also offer scholarship opportunities and other concession like ews , and caste concession . They also offer a placement .
Campus Life
Campus is good . Students are friendly . There is no problems like ragging or fights in the campus . It is safe and good for new joiners and they will like to be in campus . However , being on other places except class is not allowed at the time of classes or lectures .
Admission
The cutoff is very low i.e 60% , they take an entrance exam , based on that they create a merit list . Once you are listed in that , the student can move ahead with admission , the admission is done fully in paper based process which should be done online . Fees are only paid via online payment or card . Exams are taken every 4 5 months , this exam is taken on end of every semester . Exam fees are also comparatively low , with other colleges .
Faculty
All the faculty members are friendly , are free to communicate and helpful for any doubt we have . However , they should focus more on students learning instead of pressuring them to fulfil attendance , even if someone is learning from other sources , they pressurize students to attend classes . They should teach using new software like VS Code instead using old school softwares like turbo c and notepad++ .
