- The campus of IT College is spacious and well maintained, blending historical architecture with modern amenities. The college also maintains eco friendly environment by organizing various activities related to nature.
Dislikes
- The infrastructure is outdated and poorly maintained. The campus environment feels devoid of any vibrant student life or extra curricular activities.
- The college lacks basic facility, proper maintenance of hygienic washrooms. the washrooms of the college are not properly cleaned and some of them are broken also.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course B.Com covers essential topics such as accounting, economics, business law, and finance, providing a solid understanding of the fundamentals. It covers a wide range of subjects giving students a holistic view of commerce. The curriculum is updated periodically to align with current industry trends and practices. However, this course is mostly practical so there is need of industry exposure to students in the college and more practical knowledge.
Internships Opportunities
Internships which are offered in our college are mainly with 0 stipend or stipend of very less amount. Mainly internships which are offered are wrk from home only, kind social networking internships which offer certificates.
Placement Experience
In fifth semester students have to do internships of 30 to 45 days, which helps in overall personality enhacement of the students. as for the placements, the offered placements are not very good both quantity and quality wise.
Fees and Financial Aid
The tution fees increases every year by rupees one thousand or two thousand. We have to give other compulsory charges like SGA fees (1000 rupees only). The financial aids are mainly available to christian students only. There are placement oppurtunities but they proportion to intrested students is likely to be very less.
Campus Life
Overall the experience of the college is moderte only. The college organises mainy cultural activities periodically. The Library of the college needs some modification and renuvation. There 2 assosiations of students in the college SGA(Student government association) and SCM(Student christian movement). There is chapel in the middle of the college, which usually closed and opens on christmas only.
Admission
The procedure of admission was not very hectic. There was an entrance exam for admission in the course. The cut-off for admission in the entrance exam was not very difficult to achieve. The application form for admission is available both online and we can get it from the office also.
Faculty
The faculty at Isabella Thobiurn college has a mixed overall expierience. some faculty members demonstrate teaching skills showing a deep understanding to their subjects. They engage students actively in discussions and provide valuable mentorships. However, there are instances where certain faculty members struggle with communication or teaching methods. Many faculty members hold advanced degrees from reputable institutions and have extensive professional expierience in their respective fields. Many faculty members encourage group discussions and try to interact with students. But mainly teachers are not trying to encourage critical thinking and impart practical knowledge to the students which makes sometimes difficult to understand some practical topics.
