Likes
- Firstly, it's a huge campus of more than 200 acre. Such a clean and hygiene campus ,the atmosphere at the campus is really pleasant. One of the main thing is the largest collection of central library Dr.B.R Ambedkar Library .
- New hostels and mess food is also good. Water and electricity supply is also better. Enough grounds for any kind of outdoor games and also indoor stadium available and free gym inside the campus.
- Faculty members are good with fully equipped labs and seminar halls and good environment for any one to be and explore here in ANU.
Dislikes
- The commencement of examinations are in the university hands which were somewhere difficult for the students as the examinations are untimely.
- There is nothing to say any dislikes, Non veg is not available in mess menu.
Course Curriculum Overview
The cource curriculum designed by the department is always in advance regarding to the market demand and futuristic adoptions and they are always trying to be one step ahead in the curriculum compared to the equalities. A lot of improvement over the years and challenging along the new technologies and new approaches are being invented. Examinations frequency is the one thing of concern but it's difficult level is high.
Internships Opportunities
Internships are definitely provided but I'm currently in second semester because I don't know that much details about the internship companies yet to know those things. If I got the details I will definitely update here.
Placement Experience
As I'm currently studying I didn't heared any news about the placement. The faculty members and the placement faculty stated that they definitely try to bring the placement opportunities irrespective of the recession. They also stated that increase the no of companies and also provide internships in the final semister. As of now the placements are very low and the percentage as well.
Fees and Financial Aid
As Acharya Nagarjuna University is a public university it provides scholarship for those students who got the seat in the university through merit, respective from entrance examinations and their eligible criteria. As I'm a student of MCA the tuition fee per annum is nearly 16000 rupees for regular and 27000 rupees for the self finance students which is provided through scholar. The hostel fees also being provided but you have to pay in advance at the time of joining which is around 10000 rupees. These fees structure are affordable, but if you want to join through management or payment seat system the fee structure may change it may upto 45000 rupees I think.
Campus Life
This is one of the largest Universities in our state as it gives you everything to explore and along with the education there's also numerous extra curricular activities anyone can participate and sports events and selections are also happened timely and gives proper suggestions and accomodation for them also. The university respects every auspicious day and celebrate those with proper environment along with the students in the auditoriums our university have three auditoriums and one open auditorium. The support staff is always been there to help and suggest the students.
Hostel Facilities
The overall hotel facilities are good enough and they currently building some new blocks. Meal quality and menu are good enough but if I want non veg they don't provide any meat they only provide eggs. No hostel fees for the college students as you pay mess bill only which is around 2500 rupees monthly. You have to pay this in advance as 10000 rupees deposit in the hostel office.
Admission
The admission in MCA course is through APICET which is conducted every year.The cut off ranking may differ with the number of candidates increasing or decreasing every year but overall cut of expected is rank 2000 which will definitely gives you a chance of getting a seat here in icet examination. Icet examination is not that much complex when compared to other national level exams but also not as simple as any. You have to prepare well to get a better rank between 400 to 2000.
Faculty
The faculty members are very much interactive and centain number of students are alloted to each mentor and thoroughly cheking the students progress which is the main thing introduced last year. Each on of our faculty members is highly qualified and experienced too. And the faculty ratio is near 1:15 which is regarding to our branch and it may vary with the other branches in our campus.
Other Applied Colleges
Adikavi Nannaya University | Master of Computer Applications [M.C.A]
I have visited the college and hostels but somewhat I didn't feel good and also which is not a main campus it's a second campus at kakinada so I chose Acharya Nagarjuna University Guntur over that college.
