Remarks

Overall,my college management is helpful. The management provides the right tools and opportunities required.I like my college.

Entrance Preview

I wrote EAMCET exam which was conducted by the Andhra Pradesh Government and I got 93 marks. At the time of my joining, the demand for Civil Engineers is increasing day by day. Also it is said that Civil Engineering is an ever green branch and hence I opted for the same.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

The course curriculum is made up of various subjects with latest technologies. Most of the vital concepts were covered in depth and detail for us.Since the college was Autonomous at the time of my joining,we had the pleasure of experiencing the up-to-date aspects of theoretical subjects as electives. For example,we had Geographic information system and Earthquake Engineering as electives which have immense practical applications.

Internships Opportunities

The internship experience was more pleasant than I expected. Most of the local companies as well as a few big companies came to provide the internship. We did internship in Vaastu consultancy. The experience with Vasstu consultancy was really wonderful and we had the chance of learning practical knowledge in the various construction sites.

Placement Experience

4.5

The college is well known for campus placements. Many big companies like Van Oord,L & T as well as local companies like Nagarjuna cement,Design Tribe came and offered placements.About 80% of the students were placed while the remaining students opted for higher studies. The packages ranged from 3 Lakhs to 7 Lakhs depending upon the companies.

College Events

4

The college events were celebrated in a very entertaining and interesting way.We had classmates from Nepal,Sri Lanka who gave extraordinary performances of music, dance during cultural festivals. Also,we had a fantastic national level technical festival called SAMYAK celebrated in our college in 2010.Around 200 students from various institutions participated in the SAMYAK event.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee structure is categorized based on the type of admission.Since I got a good rank of around 15000 in EAMCET,I got seat under the convenor quota. If the EAMCET or any other applicable admission test rank is not good enough, the fees structure will be different as per the Government rules. In summary, the fees structure lies in between feasible and expensive categories.

Fees and Financial Aid

Our college gave the facility to avail the EBC scholarship funded by the Government. This EBC scholarship is given only for the economically backward people.I personally availed the EBC scholarship in my third and fourth years of graduation as the scholarship is implemented starting from 2010 only. This EBC scholarship is still being offered by the Government and I would advise my junior students to avail this if they come under Economically Backward Class.

Campus Life

4

The Gender ratio is nearly 1:1.The hostel parties were celebrated in a very funny way.Our college has the highest tolerance standards towards ethnicity, race, religion and any other orientations. This can be proved by the fact that every year our college is getting more and more international students. For sports,we had a dedicated indoor as well as outdoor stadium for the extracurricular activities.

Hostel Facilities

4

The hostel rooms are very nice. Shared rooms are better for economical purpose and to avoid loneliness feeling. The hostel mess has state of the art kitchen and spacious dining area.Hygiene and cleanliness are strictly maintained in the hostel. There are m

Alumni/Alumna

The alumni network is very cooperative and helped us in various situations. Our seniors really helped a lot during the campus placements by referring our names to the top companies.

Exam Structure

To be honest, the Exam Structure was bit hectic. We used to have regular assignments on the subjects. Also, we had Suprise tests(called as Pop up tests) on bits during the end of the class sometimes. This kind of exam structure really helped us to achieve

Faculty

4

Most of the faculty was friendly and helpful. Mainly, Dr. Ch. Hanumantha Rao,Head of the Department(HOD) is a very good and humble person. Hanumantha Rao Sir helped many average students like me to fulfill the course by constantly encouraging and pushing
