Likes

The best thing about the college is its campus anf architecture. It is spacious and a lot of greenery is present here.
The hostel facilities are best and the rooms are large and only three persons are present in each room.

Dislikes

No specialization in a specific field is provided in college.
The canteen facilities are not that good.

Course Curriculum Overview

I was always interested in computers so I took this course . The college definitely provided all the basics about a course but if u want advanced then we have ti usually keep our own efforts.the faculty members should be more enthusiastic about teaching that would be main change they should apply.

Placement Experience

The campus placement is low as it doesn't invite too many companies . so it is better to write the GATE exam or any other exams to get a job. Off campus placements are good as it certificate have a value.

Fees and Financial Aid

The tution fee is 12000 and as it is a govt. Institute so definitely it is affordable by poor students and the college doesn't collect any extra fee or any charges. The scholarships like JVD are provided students whose parents are not govt. Job holders.

Campus Life

The infrastructure is on top it is really good.large class rooms. The technical fests are conducted by branches on their basis . in cse hackathon is conducted every year. The annual day celebrations are conducted it contains ethnic day,sports day, etc...

Hostel Facilities

The hostel is affordable and we can pay the bills monthly and we get bills based on no.of days we were present in the college plus 2 days. The meal quality is good and non veg is provided 2 times a week.

Admission

The only way to get admission in this college is by entrance exam called APEMCET .the application can be found on the official website of apmcet . there is reservation on caste basis and disability basis and also on NCC and other sports basis ...the difficultly level of exam is more than average .so we can clear the exam

Faculty

The students in each branch are usually from 60 to 75 in a year and the faculty ratio would be around 15 for a year and some of faculty also teach the other year students . so,considering this is ratio is definitely okay. Most of the faculty are qualified with m.tech or are pursuing their phd ..the faculty selection is done by the JNTUA anantapur by their exams and interviews.

from 6th semester students are eligible for placements and can apply the interview process and career guidance in provided for students in every step. most of the students in it sector or computer science get placed in this college and other branches its around 40 to 50% placements. more than 100+companies visit college and highest package is around 35lpa and minimum is 2.7lpa

Story of Vignan University

Course Curriculum Overview:

I didn't like the course curriculum at all. When I joined the college it was like a regular curriculum muds and one final sem exams. But when we going to 2nd year the curriculum was changed, if i knew about that, wouldn't joined there. The curriculum makes the students to form a batch of 4 students and have to do the Team work. Those 4 students have to share the work of each subject and prepare themselves for the viva. Frequency of the exams are well introduced.

Review With my own perspective and experience

Placement Experience:

Placement are provided by college though it's recession period, they tried their best. From 6th semester students are eligible for campus placements. Companies visited: Accenture, Mind x360, Gen technologies, Astroline, servo Medha. Number of offers are very low to some companies and some companies hired more 100 in count. In the recession periods 60 and above percentage of students are get placed. In normal times 90 and above percentage of students are getting placed. I aimed for job initially after that I want to become an entrepreneur.

First of all College is a one of the premium institute in Nellore.The main focus of college is to place all the studets in any company with a good salary.College has good faculty members and they teach in very effective manner.As college is located in the NH5 highway it is easy to transport.

To get eligible for the course, you need to clear the EAMCET exam with a decent rank. The application form will be seen on the APSHE website with an application fee of 1200rs for OC and 600 for BC candidates. Counseling will be conducted based on rank and caste. For counseling, dates will be mentioned on the website itself. Coming to reservations SC -6%, ST-15%, OBC-25%, PH-3%, children of the army - 2%, Female candidates -33%, and Active participants in NCC -1% .
