A Good College in Low Budget

As I was pursuing B.A in Psychology. I opted it because of my interest. The curriculum helped me alot in my further higher studies. The improvement is needed for english medium students. Exam was conducted on time. It was a little late because of corona.. But it was far better then vksu and magadh university.

I am not happy with the way they have increased their fees. The college people used to take money through challan. There was no hearing even after complaining. Let me tell you an example. In the first fee I paid 3k whereas from many others 5k to 6k were taken. And it was not returned even after complaint. Similarly, during 2nd year admission, more money was taken from those who got admission first and after 3 days the fee was reduced. And those who paid more fees were not even refunded. I am also one of those who pay higher fees. Scholoship is available only for SC ST OBC and minority.

Campus life was good. The college building and auditorium infrastructure were all good. Along with studies, there were also co-curricular activities, sports etc. But there was lack of information. There were many clubs also.

The hostel facility was good. Four girls lived in one room. Everyone had a bed, almirah and study table and chair. Apart from that, there was geyser and washing machine in the common washroom and common induction in the mess where if we wanted to cook. Our warden mam was good. Talking about food, initially it was good but gradually the quality deteriorated. The menu was different every day but taste also matters. But still it was much better than outside hostels. If there is an option between outside private hostel and campus hostel, then campus hostel is more suitable at this price. But if you have to take coaching or any other classes outside the campus then there may be problem. Only on Sundays and Wednesdays, with the permission of parents, it was allowed to go out till 6 pm. You cannot order anything from outside late at night. By the way, there are always guards, so if you want to order something, you can order it from them. And this hostel is very good in terms of security.

When I took admission, there was no entrance test. The merit list was released on the basis of class 12 marks in which I stood 2nd. I applied for admission online on the university's site. After the list came, one had to go to the college and take admission by paying the fee and submitting all the documents. There is also a provision for reservation. Overall process was good.

Our department was very active. They used to take regular classes. Vandanam mam, Shabana mam, Reena Mam and HOD Geeti Mam all was awesome. They were always available to clear our doubt. There were very less department which used to take regular classes and our department was one of them.
