Course Curriculum Overview
Diploma is like half engineering but our curriculum doesn't make half engineers and that's the beauty of our course at the Oxford Polytechnic colleges. The difficulty level is high as the course is quite demanding. Exams are always on time be it mid-sem or the final semester as one semester lasts 4 to 4 and a half months.
Internships Opportunities
All the students have to go for mandatory internships during semester breaks. The college helps by providing SOPs and letters of recommendation. Students though have the option of choosing internships or projects as per their wish.
Placement Experience
Placements are not much at our college as there are few regular companies such as Dulip Buildcon , Renew power and L&T that comes and hire a few students. My plan is to do B.Tech once I finish my diploma. The percentage of students placed at our college is around 20-30%.
Fees and Financial Aid
Our fees for the year is around 30 thousand and thereby course fees in total will be less than a lakh. Half engineers at that price is not a bad deal as we get full value for money at Oxford. Fees are increased by a small percent every year but there are enough scholarships that help in cutting down education costs if one is eligible for them.
Campus Life
Our college is not that big in terms of area as a few labs and one big library is all that we have in terms of facilities. Yet we host a techno fest and students of our college have attracted a lot of eyes and some of them have even started their own start-ups after passing out from Oxford Polytechnic.
Admission
Admissions are fairly easy as ITI results or 12th results are enough to secure an admission here. Approaching directly is the best way as in online one was to fill form and then they will be called for document verification and all. I went offline and the admissions were done then and there itself in just a few hours.
Faculty
Oxford faculties for diploma are engineers themselves and are good in handling not just machines but humans too. Students are taken care of by faculties as the mechanical branch requires a lot of perseverance. My personal interaction with faculties is not that often but as I have seen they are always available if any student needs any form of help.
