Course Curriculum Overview
I rate the course curriculum as quite relevant and comprehensive. The practical projects and case studies are what attracted me to this course, as they bridge theory with real-world applications. However, there could be more emphasis on industry-specific skills and current trends to better prepare students for the job market. Additionally, the timing of exams feels a bit clustered, making it challenging to manage workload effectively. Overall, the curriculum is solid but could benefit from more focus on practical skills and better spaced exams.
Placement Experience
Campus placements at my college typically start from the seventh semester onwards. Various companies visit our campus, including tech giants like TCS, Infosys, and Wipro, as well as other renowned firms such as Microsoft, Amazon, and Accenture. The number of offers made varies each year, but on average, around 70-80% of students secure placements. The highest package offered can go up to 10-15 lakhs per annum, usually for roles in software development or consulting. The average package ranges from 4-6 lakhs per annum, depending on the company and the role. Additionally, there are opportunities for internships and pre-placement offers. However, if campus placements are not secured, many students opt for higher studies or pursue certification courses to enhance their employability. Personally, after completing my degree, I plan to pursue an M.Tech to delve deeper into my field of interest and increase my chances of securing advanced roles in research or industry.
Fees and Financial Aid
The total fee is Rs.69000. We'll pay 69k in our first year +10k as building maintenance. In 2nd year Rs.69000 with Rs.10000 extra for building maintenance. Or 3rd year 69000 plus 10000 extra for internship preparation. In campus placement are hard to get because this college has high expectations while recruiting faculty as they wanted to give students a better lyf and quality education.

Hostel Facilities
The hostel is pretty good with well- maintained and well- cleaned washrooms and rooms. The meals in the college hostel are pretty good with lots of varieties that includes 2 types of curries, pickles, dal, sambar and rasam and sometimes chips. Registration for hostel is pretty simple and offline- choosing a room and making 20% payment of the hostel fee. There will be 4 members for a room and 2 washrooms and 2 bathrooms for 4 rooms upto 2nd year. From 3rd year, there willl be attached washrooms for each room.
Admission
The admission process at Gayatri Vidya Parishad College of Engineering Autonomous was relatively smooth. I had to fill out an online application form and submit my academic transcripts. There was no specific entrance exam for this course, but the cutoff marks for my previous academic performance were considered. One aspect of the admission process that I didn't like was the lack of clarity regarding the selection criteria. It would have been helpful to have more transparent guidelines on how candidates were evaluated. Overall, though, the process was manageable and efficient.
Faculty
There are many faculty members in our college. In a same year, if we take there will be councellors for each student. There will be 1 councellor to every 10 members. Our professors often conduct webinars for future planning and jobs and they call students who got more that 50LPA to our college and makes them share their experiences while getting the job.
