The college provides a great atmosphere for those who wish to persue mbbs as career option. They has wonderful faculties in all departments help to climb the ladder of success. The hospitals are well equipped with modern equipments.
The college also supports your cultural and other extra curricular interests. You can definitely harvest your skills and become a better person
The supporting atmosphere in the college should be defenitly mentioned. All the seniors and PGs help you. You can approach them whenever you need

Dislikes

The geographic location of madurai does favour a great climate for living. So you will find it difficulty to survive
The city is not so safe to live.The city is also very unhygienic
The hostel facility is not so good for boys.

Our college follows lates CBME curriculum under NMC. The curriculum enables you to learn how to interact with patients and understand their real problems and treat them accordingly. The curriculum gives great importance for attitude and behaviour

Fees and Financial Aid

The scholarship opportunities are not great but for financially backward students help is provided to support them. If you really need help you can avail fee reductions by requesting to the dean. But I really think that the course fees is really affordable

Campus Life

Madurai medical college have very good infrastructure and environment... All the lecture halls are fully air conditioned it is so helpful for the medical students in this hot climate...Almost all the places in the college is surrounded by full of trees and gardens..

Admission

NEETUG is the entrance test you need to clear. The admission is based on the rank you acquired in the test. The MCC conducts councelling for all india students and allot colleges according to the choice you filled. The tamil nadu state govt can also allot seats

Faculty

You can have a wonderful experience with the faculties. Your immideate senior to HODs will teach you. Everyone has something to teach you. You can also learn from the patients coming there. The vast amount of patients admitting daily to the hospital gives a great chance to get experienced in your feild

Course Curriculum Overview:

the course is very challenging obviously as we're studying to become doctors. it could've been better by increasing the duration of the course. our first year/ semester instead of it being for 12 months was only of 9-10 months so our portions are being pushed a little. it happened due the scam etc around neet and our course start date was pushed. the course could be made easier by increasing the duration of the course. we have exams every week which does make it easier to keep up with the portions but makes it too stressful for us. maybe instead of keeping exams on monday they could change it to saturday so we can relax and be free on sundays.
