SSTC not worth at all

Now taking about course and curriculum they have subjects that are approved by ministry although when in higher semesters they don't let you choose the elective subjects your whole class will have the same elective subject. Timing of exams are unpredictable sometimes they take exam early sometimes very late. Teaching methods are also weak they only have some experienced teachers and many of the teachers are students of the PhD department or recent passouts. SSTC generally copy the exams schedule of BIT so if BIT is having something then SSTC is also having the same.

After 6th semester in engineering you become eligible for placements. Before that you can find and do interships on your own they don't bring intership opportunities at all. Now Accenture and TCS generally hire students from our college but it's their work they go to every other colleges. And not much offers are made, placement stats are getting lower and lower. Highest package till now offered was 6 lpa and average maybe around 1.5-2 lpa. Placement percentage will be around 20%. And many of the students will be jobless after getting the degree some of them will prepare for CAT some are already preparing for GATE to pursue higher education because getting btech degree from SSTC is worthless. I'm also going for higher studies after completing my college.

Now SSTC is cheaper than other private colleges because it doesn't not provide much resources. Btech semester fees is around 38k to 40k including exam fees and sport fees( they don't have much opportunities in sports), talking about the scholarship you can get state or central scholarships according to you caste and family income. Where they can range for 20000-30000. Talking about campus employment they have e-cell but you will not get any stipend for your hard work.

Social life in SSTC is very bad, they have small events only and college do not provide much funds for the same. Also the Annual fest of SSTC named SAMVID is not happening from the last 4 years. So don't expect you'll enjoy much. Library is decent enough you'll find coursework related books. Classrooms are of decent enough size but the benches, lights and fans are too old and they don't even have projects in classrooms. We got poor cricket ground, we got poor basketball ground and you have to bring your own equipments. Although there are many student founded groups, the photography club is also very good.

See you have to give cgpet for getting admission in SSTC there are caste benefit because of the low cutoffs, Application cost is cheap arround 100-200, you have to score atleast 60% in 12th boards. Now admission process is simple if you have to go to college for application procedure. Now there are also management quota and they ask for lot's of donations I'll suggest please don't opt for that it will not be worth it. And I'll suggest prepare for other exams and take good college.
