Likes

I like about the food which is free in this college for all students . Monday breakfast is pongal, sambar, chatni and vada and Lunch is sambar rice, rasam rice with kootu poriyal etc. Tuesday it is chapathi and chicken gravy, wednesday it is biriyani
Attendance is not mandatory in this college. You can take how many number days leave you want , there is no fine for taking leave in this college and just you have to mention your department HOD about taking leave.

Dislikes

No coeducation and there is strict rule that boys and girls should not talk
Sperate buses for boys and girls in this modern era where the chairman strongly believes the traditional way, where if boys and girls talk that is love

Course Curriculum Overview

As I saw a growth in Semiconductor field, I chose this course as at my time there was a high demand in Computer Science Engineering and after few years I know that there is gonna be recession in IT field. The curicullum adapts includes Coding languages such as Python ,Java.The curriculum should be improved such that it adapts real world solving projects with hands on problem solving that is beeter for students to understand and should also work on with Industry level handsome project to level up the students.

Class Size: 58Course Fees: INR 125000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

When I joined through government quota at 2021 it was 1,25,000 and for management it was 1,65,000 and if the student is first graduate they reduce 25,000 . The complete cost of my education is 5,50,000.The scholarship is only the student whose caste is BC(Backward Caste) there is scholarship of 15,000 per year. Iam a pre-final year student and still now no intership is provided and neither placement support

Campus Life

I would not recommend people to join my college as there is strict rules for boys and girls. Even though this a co-education college there is a seperate class for boys and girls. But there is a huge library where books are available with books for preparing gate exam, Cat, Tnpsc and much more exams and also fiction and non-fiction books. There is no cultural events or any other event conducted in the college as the college strictly wants students to just come eat study and go home.

Admission

My cutoff was 144 at the time of 2021 and I belong to the covid batch and I went through TNEA counselling where all the students of Tamilnadu compete to get seats in engineering colleges.The eligibility cutoff was 138 that time for Electrical and Electronics Engineering and after the councilling is over you get your alloted college if the cutoff matches and you have to visit that particular college.

Placement Experience:

3 yr students are eligible to get placed.particularly japanese placements come around that time.and general placements comes in 3rd yr 6th semester! Jsw, Renault Nissan are some of the companies that come! Highest in Japan 32 lpa , general - 12 lpa. 99.99% get placed.

Placement Experience:

My college allows you to get internships from the 5th semester. Campus placements can be availed 7th semester onwards. The highest package offered was I think about 1cr per year and the average being about 8-9LPA for my course. My plans after my degree is to work.

The average package is 350000/year . And the maximum package is 15L Last year nearly 100 students out of 180 in cse dept are non-placed , they are forced to write higher studies letter and submit in college . Even though they won't help for any placement side.

My cutoff for engineering was too low to join this college but the only thing that was a favour to me is my community. I come under a reserved community, and my friends who are from other communities with higher cutoff than me couldn't make it to Panimalar. My admission to this college was through Government Counselling by choice filling. Before my choice filling, I've heard a lot about Panimalar through Social Media and I've got fascinated by their placement percentage, food quality, transport quality, etc... So, I placed panimalar at the top of the choice list and It's the only college I chose from Chennai. I've made choices majorly from Trichy like K Ramakrishna Engineering College, Saaranathan Engineering College, MAM Engineering College and other colleges around Perambalur, Salem. I was so happy when I got an admission in Panimalar. They invited me directly to the college for the admission process. Me with my dad went for the admission. There was a huge queue sitting in front of us. We got amazed by the demand for the admission in this college. After all our time in the queue we finally got into the admission room. They first got all required documents and xeroxes from us including the printout of the admission invitation. Then we paid the fees for the first year including book fees.
