Admission to St aloysius university Mangalore is very easy compared to most of the other colleges in Mangalore. Candidates who are willing to join in Aloysius should register first on the college website by filling out the application form. There is a registration fee for this. Aloysius is one of the best colleges in Mangalore. It is always on front on its academic excellence and skill development.As a student of Aloysius, I am so much satisfied by the atmosphere provided by the college even though the college is little bit strict. Many scholarships are provided by st aloysius university for the economically backward students. They also provide extra curricular activities.

Most of the degree courses are available at st aloysius including bcom bba bsc mba msc ma ba etc. They also provide all facilities for their students. Courses offered are provided with small course fees with no extra charges charged. Also provides placements and internships.

This college gives so many scholarships for economically backward students and provides meals. Compared to the other college courses charge is really low. In the name of Vidya Spoorthi College provides scholarships reducing the amount of 5000 from the tution fees.

The college provides a wide range of extracurricular activities for the students to indulge in. The library of the college is top notch. Huge campus with a canteen in every block. Xerox facilities are also provided.

I would like to tell that syllabus and curriculum they have is student friendly and doesn't give much pressure or torcher to students. Even this follows in the labs where labs are well equipped. I feel a bit less focus on industrial applications

Place which feels home

Placement Experience:

We do have campus placements in our college. From 5th sem everybody is eligible to appear for campus placements. As far as I know there were Walmart,Paycheck,aceture,sony and many more. Almost about 30 to 50 students from each department get selected in placements. Not really sure about the percentage but somewhere in 60/100. My plans after the degree is to clear SSB or do my MCA .

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum for BSc is simply the extended version of 11th and 12th standard portions in the first year. It includes the same concepts and the teaching method is rather ordinary and boring and doesn't seem to focus on making the students live the subject but is rather focussed on marks and other upcoming exams. A teacher kept insisting us to do certain problems skipping the others considering the factory that it is very important for a exam after UG. She also stated that everyone are most likely to take up teaching as a job after this which shows how narrow minded and shallow the opinions and minds of the teachers are. This amounts for a greater level of discouragement.
