Remarks
Infrastructure is good. But I wouldn't like to comment on anything else.
Entrance Preview
I took admission in this college because there is only one college for this course in Amravati, Maharashtra, and I wasn't planning on moving to another city at that time, no other reason at all. But if you can go to another city, then please don't opt for it.
Course Curriculum Overview
In my honest opinion, the academic course is just fine, but I doubt if all the students really learned all that was listed in the curriculum. Like the course for the history of Architecture was really good and interesting. I think that a foreign language should be added, or even basic English would be just fine.
Internships Opportunities
No, our college doesn't provide an internship at all. BArch students here have to intern for the whole ninth semester. But the students have to look for internships on their own and go to work.
Placement Experience
The first batch of our college had graduated three years ago, and since then we've heard about "placements" only once. That too, only like 2-3 people got placed somewhere. I am not sure about other disciples, but our department doesn't get campus placements.
College Events
One event called "Techelons" is held annually in the college. It consists of technical events, as well as cultural events. Robotics to group dances, bridge making a contest to poster exhibitions, everything is held during this annual event "Techelons".
Fee Structure And Facilities
I'm in the third year right now, and our batch pays Rs 65,000 per year. I don't think that it's too expensive, as compared to other institutions for architecture. Every year, the fee is increased by a few thousand rupees. There are a few scholarship facilities available though.
Fees and Financial Aid
Scholarship facilities are available here for people belonging to OBC non-creamy layer and other minorities too.
Campus Life
The campus is well designed, according to me. The gender ratio is just balanced too. The students here are from nearby towns and villages, or from this city itself. There are only a few people from other big cities too, otherwise, only the locals are in our department.
Hostel Facilities
This college doesn't have hostel facilities. The people coming from other towns live here at PGs and rented flats. They get their tiffins from some tiffin providing service. I don't know if there is any scope of construction of a hostel in near future.
Alumni/Alumna
Some of our alumni are teachers here. The network is fine, too. Some of them have opted for post graduation in other institutions.
Exam Structure
We follow the semester pattern at the college. We have written exams only once a semester, followed by external vivas. We also have internal Vivas before the written exams. No other exams are conducted between the semester. We have to work on our sheets more than the theory.
Admission
I took NATA after my twelfth and scored 110 marks. Then I went for CAP rounds and selected this college at the first round itself, as I wasn't really prepared to move to another city at that time. Then I submitted my required documents and advance for fees and got in this college.
Faculty
Many of the ones teaching here are fresh graduates from our own college and the others. Some of them are really good, though. But most of the teachers here are not very knowledgeable and interested to teach their assigned courses at the college. That's it.
