Placement Experience:

the placement is also not that much great. they are very few companies TCS and Infosys are the mass recuriter here . The core companies are close to null . So you have to go to only to the IT companies that to at a very low package . My students work for as low as 2.5 lac per annum . This year almost everybody was between 3lac to 10lac bracket . The highest on campus package are about 25 lac . Not more than that most of time. and the average package is almost about 3-4 lac per annum . The percentage of the students placed is also really bad . Most of the students have to hurdle by himself.

Most of people go for PHDs and research after this course so the number of placements is a little less. Also, this unique Integrated Mtech course is new and the first batch of this 5 year course soon will be passed out. They are getting placement offers of 8-8.5 LPA per annum.

Placement Experience:

From 7th sem the students became eligible for campus selection. Companies like Infosys, EVEREADY, ACC , ultratech and many more offering annual packages starting from 2lakhs to 8lakhs. Highest 8lakhs annual packages and average was like 3.5lakh to 4.5 lakh. Approximately 70 to 80 percentage of students are getting placements every year. I choose this course because at first I was interested to automobile engineering but I didn't got it from other college so I preffered this mechanical engineering. It is a very though course as it seems. And there was 1:7 for faculty and student ratio. Faculties were highly qualified and some did PhD and m. Tech and other are fresher. The teaching skill differ person to person. The thermodynamics faculty was very excellent. In every year there was 2 semester and it is a little difficult. And before semester there was internal and viva.

Life of a student in government college of engineering keonjhar

You have to give jee mains and ojee examination to get admission in our college. As my rank was not upto the mark to get admission into vssut or outer but I was fortunate enough to get admission into this college.
