No neat and clean sorrounding everywhere there is broken things are there.
No market near college and no medical facility either

Course Curriculum Overview

The course is good and easy with minimum practical exposure. First 2 year is on theoritical subject and in 3rd year they focus internships and practical study. There are 2 semester in each year with internal in between them. Exam are easy.

Internships Opportunities

There are various colleges which gives internship opportunity to student such as JSW,adani port,tata steel,rialto, vedanta etc and also the give pretty good stipend. Yes there are various types of project done in the internship period.

Placement Experience

Placement is very good special for mining branch placement is done in various reputed companies like vedantu,tata steel and adani with very high package. Minimum 70 to 80 percent students get placed with good package every year. I plan to take my placement after graduation.

Fees and Financial Aid

They take the fee on yearly basis 27430 per year for general and 15430 for tfw student. Also there is scholarship for social and financial backgrounds students. Campus sorrounding is average. But having good placement opportunity for mining students with average 10lpa

Campus Life

Campus life is good and advantageous. It has an annual tech fest named Utkarsha with other tech fests for each branch. Also there are many fests in between tech fests which are enjoyable. Campus life is average due to the lack of parks and space. There are also many clubs like dance clubs, coding clubs, robotics, etc.

Hostel Facilities

Hostel have great facility.most of hostel rooms are of 3 bed Meal quality is average menu is good. You have option of hostel while taking admission in college. There is hostels for both boys and girls. Separate hostels available for junior and senior student.hostels are also affordable

Admission

The admission was based on engineering entrance examinations such as JEE and OJEE. Mining is the best branch in this college and also one of best in odisha. It also has reservation facility which can available for st and sc students

Placement Experience:

the placement is also not that much great. they are very few companies TCS and Infosys are the mass recuriter here . The core companies are close to null . So you have to go to only to the IT companies that to at a very low package . My students work for as low as 2.5 lac per annum . This year almost everybody was between 3lac to 10lac bracket . The highest on campus package are about 25 lac . Not more than that most of time. and the average package is almost about 3-4 lac per annum . The percentage of the students placed is also really bad . Most of the students have to hurdle by himself.

Placement Experience:

Most of people go for PHDs and research after this course so the number of placements is a little less. Also, this unique Integrated Mtech course is new and the first batch of this 5 year course soon will be passed out. They are getting placement offers of 8-8.5 LPA per annum.

Placement Experience:

From seventh semester students are eligible for campus placements. Companies like TCS, GOOGLE, MICROSOFT, AMAZON, SAMSUNG visited and about 7 to 8 lakh rupees package they are giving. Highest placement is 1.5 crore and the average package is 8 to 9 lakh rupees. About 70 percent students getting placed. I want to job in MICROSOFT.

I choose this course because at first I was interested to automobile engineering but I didn't got it from other college so I preffered this mechanical engineering. It is a very though course as it seems. And there was 1:7 for faculty and student ratio. Faculties were highly qualified and some did PhD and m. Tech and other are fresher. The teaching skill differ person to person. The thermodynamics faculty was very excellent. In every year there was 2 semester and it is a little difficult. And before semester there was internal and viva.

Life of a student in government college of engineering keonjhar

You have to give jee mains and ojee examination to get admission in our college.
