Course Curriculum Overview

•My childhood aim was to become a mechanical engineer. And as this college was near my location and it was easy to stay here, that's why I choose this college. •The faculties of this college are so good in behaviour and intelligent. They treat us good. And teaches us in the best way they could do.

Class Size: 84Course Fees: INR 27430 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

•The total fees for the students is 42220/- out of which 29220 was course fees. It was only for the first year. From the second year, the total readmission fees was 27430/-, out of which 12000/- was tution fees. And this continues till the final year. •The complete cost is 42220/- for first year and then 27430/- for the rest of 3 years. •The scholarship we get names as Post metric scholarship, in which we get 20000/-.

Campus Life

•There is a cultural fest names as Utkarsh which we celebrate in arround March in every year. And there are lots of technical fests we celebrate like for mechanical branch, a technical fest named as mXpolre which we celebrate arround February to March in every year. •Every classroom has a smart board which has been very useful to the students to study as well as the faculties to teach us.

Admission

•The admission process was online. Eligibility for to get in our college was to secure atleast 55 percentage marks in 12th board or equivalent board. •The total application form process was online. •The related notice regarding admission fees and dates were available in the online note board of the official website of the college. •The reservation catagory students was also able to get admission in the college. •Admission process was good. But there could be addition of more advantageous techniques to get admission in the college which will be helpful to the students as well as college faculties.

Our college give good placement but packages are very low package start with 150000 and end in 700000 . But you study properly then you try pursuing higher studies. 40% students placed but below 400000 . after completing you try off campus placement then you secured good salary on good company.

placements are average...not feels like an iit but its ok ...this yaer percentage of placement was 90% and highest ctc was of 67.4 LPA with median of 12LPA and average of 17 LPA ...most of the placements for SDE roles. My plan is to finish my degree as soon as possible and get placed for a SDE role so that i can survive

The placement stats of IIT Bhubaneswar are quite good. For the 2025 placement season, the highest CTC was 67.6 LPA and the mean CTC was 14.5 LPA, with a total of 22 PPO offers. Approximately 90% students were placed this year. Major recruiters were Google, Oracle, Zomato, Goldman Sachs, NVIDIA and Meesho. This year, there were 5 international offers (4 from Accenture Japan and 1 core offer from Niterra Japan).

Honest and Genuine review of NIT Rourkela

Placement Experience:

So the students become eligible for placemant usually from the 7th semester of the Btech which is from the 4th year and the internship opportunities are available from the 3rd year onwards that is from 5th and 6th semester. So in year 2024-25 the number of companies that visited The campus is around 330 And the total job offers offered is about 1200. So the highest package in the EC branch is about 1.2 crore per annum and the average package for the EC branch is around 13 to 14 lakhs. And the Profile of jobs are core electronics, VLSI and semiconductor roles ,system and embedded developments, software engineering, IT services, consulting and analytics. The percentage of student which are getting placed are in the range of 90 to 99% for ECE branch. The top recruiters are Apple Google, Microsoft, Amazon, wipro, Deloitte, Tata,Vedanta etc. After completing my degree in ECE from NIT Rourkela my plan is to join the core technology sector as a VLSI and semiconductor engineer in a reputed multinational Companies, leveraging the strong foundation and industrial exposure gained during my studies in case I do not secure a campus placement I aim to pursue the off campus opportunities in electronics, IT or analytics sectors. Alternatively I am open to perceive higher studies in MBA to specialize in the management sector.

Placement Experience:

the placement is also not that much great. they are very few companies TCS and Infosys are the mass recuriter here . The core companies are close to null . So you have to go to only to the IT companies that to at a very low package . My students work for as low as 2.5 lac per annum . This year almost everybody was between 3lac to 10lac bracket . The highest on campus package are about 25 lac . Not more than that most of time. and the average package is almost about 3-4 lac per annum . The percentage of the students placed is also really bad . Most of the students have to hurdle by himself.

Placement Experience:

Campus placement is descent. Some of the student opt for higher studies. Almost 80% get placed with good packages.some goes for gate exam. I also know a senior who have gate AIR of 42. I am planning for gate along with my degree.companies like Hpcl , cpcl, exon mobil usually come here for recruiting.

Life of a student in government college of engineering keonjhar

You have to give jee mains and ojee examination to get admission in our college. As my rank was not upto the mark to get admission into vssut or outer but I was fortunate enough to get admission into this college. I would recommend this college if your rank is between 1.5lakh and above. This is the best college you will get in this rank in terms of placements . I've applied for vssut burla and cet bhubaneswar.but I've got in this college and this course from the starting. No I didn't got rejection from other colleges Eligibility 65% in previous exam, Jee or ojee exams are accepted Jee is most preferred Cutoff of jee is 60 percentile for CSE branch .
