For admission in diploma, its only required 60% marks in your 10th class No extra exams needed. I had 85.5% in my 10th so i got admission easily along with scholarship of rs 9500/- per year. I had choosen diploma in engineering because i had pre-planned that. I have done my diploma in electrical engg. I have chosen this university, mainly because of its geographical location and one of my brothers was already studying there and also VGU had a good track record for their discipline No interview is taken for diploma admissions, direct admissions are given.
Course Curriculum Overview
Course curriculum was good but all things written in curriculum is not done in real Example industrial visits are done very rarely even after students complain no action is taken. For each semester syllabus file is to be taken from the teaching faculty as its not published online The syllabus is easy but great as it included various experiments Subjects taught was very accurate and only important topics are included in syllabus And most importantly notes are dictated in class very effectively so it was very easy to understand topic
Internships Opportunities
During my time no internship is to be provided by the university. Students, if required, had to arrange that on their own University hosts various govt. camp who does training on various areas like as solar, etc No stipend is provided for that Summer training are compulsory for pre-final year students be it a B.Tech student or diploma student
Placement Experience
Placements in diploma is very less Companies rarely come for diploma candidates Though the training and placement cell continuously researches about companies for the requirement and send the details to every final year student Students have to go to the company by themselves and no money for a vehicle is provided
Fee Structure And Facilities
Fees according to me is feasible -Diploma->40,000/- per year + 2000/- per year (Exam fees) + 5,000(caution money refundable) one time -B.tech ->80,000/- per year + 3000/- per year (exam fees) + 10000(caution money refundable) one time
Campus Life
Campus was big Campus has 2 colleges and a university in my batch there were 60 students out of that only 8 were girls
Hostel Facilities
In first year students are given 2 seater rooms having 1 fan and 2 cfls Mutual Shifting is allowed upon warden permission From 2nd year students can choose their single seater rooms after paying the advance amount 10,000/- Fees for single and 2 seater are same Drinking water is not that good, though they say ro water Many students fall sick due to hard water Bathing water is worst. If anyone baths with that water for all time one will surely get bald After many complaints also this problem has not been resolved No electrical appliances are allowed in hostel like as boiler, electric press, heater, etc and if found will be taken by warden and fine will be imposed
