Remarks

Gayatri Vidya Parishad is a well known and very well established College with eminent faculty and board members. It is very well organised without any problems. this college is the best choice to have good education and enjoy with it.

Entrance Preview

I took admission to GVPE(A) College from EAMCET conducted by Andhra Pradesh govt. , i scored a total of 69 marks in EAMCET achieving a rank of 10447. In the first phase of counseling, i got admission in this college. Reason for opting this College is, it has a good and positive talk all over Andhra Pradesh with best faculty, very experienced and with good placements percentage.

Course Curriculum Overview

5

Since the college is given Autonomous Status, it has its own curriculum designed accordingly to the latest knowledge. Always introduce new courses, change the curriculum. The college management encourages the students to take MOOCs (Massive Online Opening Services) as one of their Subjects. The syllabus followed is according to JNTUK, but slightly changed which really helps in preparing for GATE and other exams.

Internships Opportunities

College does not provide internship. We have to find our own internship outside campus and it is compulsory for every student to complete internship after the completion of 6 th Semester. No stipend is given to anyone.

College Events

3.5

Events are not a part of GVP, though they are conducted hardly any outsider comes, with a limited budget and space, no one really shows any interest in Events. Cultural activities are conducted one or the other day, and a special cell takes care of it - GCCC.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fee was fair when i joined back in 2014, but it is increasing every year. It was 89,000Rs. and raised to 1 Lakh now in 2018. Fee payments should be made annually via Online Banking SBI. No fee can be paid in College to anyone, Only bank payments are accepted.

Fees and Financial Aid

No. College does not provide any Scholarship/Loans. Andhra Pradesh provides fees reimbursement to students who submit their parent Salary info and if it meets the criteria.

Campus Life

3.5

The campus is in a pleasant environment with fresh air and without any disturbance and noise of vehicles. The only disadvantage over here is it is in a remote area and it takes much time to get a vehicle to get into town (of course being in such a area away from town pollution helps us keep fresh during our course here. Sports department conducts different sport activities from time to time, sports is always given a priority in GVP.

Hostel Facilities

2

GVP is Disciplined Vegetarian college. separate accommodation facility for both boys and girls. The food served is only VEG food. No non-veg is served in the hostel mess, or any other place within the college. Hostel Seats are very few and costly. Many prefer to stay in PG's which are available in numbers in walkable distance from college, which cost about 5000 per month.

Alumni/Alumna

I would give it a rating of 5/10, they aren't available that much. But sometimes college make the senior students to be helpful and giving suggestions to the juniors. The seniors also post regarding the opportunities and entrepreneurs opportunities.

Exam Structure

Time Tables are very well prepared, We generally have 2 labs sorted out in a week, it will be pretty good and labs are always in good condition. Exams are conducted in a well-prepared manner. Mid exams being conducted every 2-3 months, Semester exams are conducted in alternate days.

Admission

Admitted to this college via EAMCET Exam, Few days after the exam was conducted the ranks were released, and we were notified to attend the counselling to verity our certificates in the nearest centre. After the verification and option entry. GVPE Electrical was alloted to me. Admission process in the College was very fluid and easy, i just had to be present on the given days in the college and submitted required documents, signed in the required documents and process was done in 15 minutes. It was very easy and hazzle free, Fee payments is also available through Online.

Faculty

4.5

The college management follows the norms of AICTE while recruiting faculty. All faculty has a minimum of Masters Degree. We have a good proportion of faculty with PhD in different branches The faculty encourage the students to take part in fests happening around the country giving their valuable inputs

Course Curriculum Overview:

The best and for some it could be worst part also , it doesn't matter whether you're a mechanical engineering student or EEE or CSE you should have to learn every single programming language from C to python including DSA and cloud computing which will help you to switch your career easily if you want. but however at the same time the mechanical students feel stressed alot. because they have to study their own field subjects which are not easy at the same time they have to clear the programming languages which are completely different from mechanical subjects

Placement Experience:

If I talk about my branch, as per my knowledge from 6th semester onwards the students can sit in the placement run. The college offers placement training with individual of expertise from that respective subject. Many top companies visit the campus to list out, AWS, INFOSYS, JMAN, TCS, IBM are some if them. More than 50 lakhs package is secured. The average lies around 4 to 5 lakhs per annum. The percentage of students getting placed varies from branch to branch and for some branches it's 100%, the average package for them would be 3 lakhs per annum, and the highest goes around 12 lakhs per annum. Students can apply off campus if they didn't get placed.
