Remarks

College has both pros and cons which I have discussed. They can try hard to make everything feasible to a common man(student) They should maintain for what we are paying. Atleast in food, because that is the primary thing that everyone expects.

Entrance Preview

I qualified EAMCET with 15032 rank. I wanted to join mechanical/ Civil. In online mock counselling, I got to know that I may get this college. Felt happy and given my first preference to GVP college of engineering

Course Curriculum Overview

4

The curriculum comprises of both vision and mission. It drives towards research, logical thinking and practicality which companies expect from a fresher. Course structure is divided such that the course completion can be done easily in that prescribed semester period. There is a continuity between the subjects from one semester to other semester. That is the way, students can cope up easily and a consistency arises which helps for future competitive exams.

Internships Opportunities

Students has to search for internships. If the institution has any chance of getting companies to college. They help us in choosing such projects. They always guide to choose good projects and companies.

Placement Experience

3

Many companies come to my college but the vast recruitment is always by TCS. In 2017, 420 students got selected for TCS with a basic package of 3.3PA. Other than TCS, CAP Gemini, IBM, LNT etc., companies also came. But the placement for core branches is bit less when compared to CS-IT branches.

College Events

3.5

Every year students come out with a fest. That should be approved by the management of the college. For sponsorships, students and management also put equal efforts. Usually students manage everything under the guidance of the faculty. Events are planned according to the branch. They are bunch of common games conducted and cultural competitions also take place.

Fee Structure And Facilities

It is bit expensive for what they are maintaining. The canteen do not have enough space. It cannot accommodate all the students at once, even half of the college cannot fit into the canteen. They are expanding classrooms year after year but not the canteen. Buses have a lot of issues, there will not be enough seats for those who pay a lot for transportation.

Fees and Financial Aid

College will not provide any such scholarships or loan facilities as per my knowledge. But Government of Andhra Pradesh avails fees reimbursement for students those who gets rank less than 10,000 and whose family income is less than 1lac per year. That is quite appreciable.

Campus Life

4

Gender bias is not shown anywhere in the college. Student clubs exists like GC3, English club, sports club, NSS. Each team is managed by few group of faculty members. Everyone has right to be a part of one or multiple groups. Students select the groups as per their interest and participate accordingly. There is no such bias based on race, religion etc., We do have student diversity, people from Nepal also come to my college to study.

Hostel Facilities

3

I am a day scholar. But still I listen comments from my friends regarding hostel facilities and mess food.Hostels are well maintained. They are spacious and have good ventilation. But coming to food. it is again a problem. Food in canteen also have medium standards but high prices.

Alumni/Alumna

Usually alumni come in the starting or at the end of the course completion that is at the time of placements to help us to choose good career path by sharing their experiences and expectations of today’s world. They conduct mock interviews and help us to get habituated to the live interviews.

Exam Structure

We have total 4years. Each year has two semesters.Every semester has two mid term examinations. Every mid exam comprises of subjects and labs(practical). Semester exam carries only 70 Marks n the rest 30 marks come out from mid term examinations. We have assignments and tests. Those marks are added to mid examination marks.

Admission

I have submitted my original documents (10th class marks list, intermediate marks list, study certificates from class 5-intermediate, caste certificate, income certificate etc.,?to AP Counsel Board. They gave me a card which has my online counselling login username and password.I opened the site. Logged in.I opted GVP College in my preferences during my counselling. Luckily I got a seat in civil engineering. I did not wait for second counselling. Immediately I went to college to confirm my seat. There we can pay the fee through challan or net banking . We have to pay bus fees at that time if we want to use bus facility by the college.Took challan and paid the first year fee. Coming to the Administration department, they are patient, make everything hassle free, they help parents and students in processing the application forms etc., Students avail hostel facilities also. They usually check and confirm rooms at the time of admission itself.

Faculty

3.5

Faculty should have a minimum designation of masters. Even we have faculty who did their phd and serve the students with immense knowledge they have. Some faculty studied abroad, some have more than 26 yrs experience etc., Faculty are very friendly towards students in clearing doubts, they are available to the students all the time. They help in choosing good career, good projects, interns.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The best and for some it could be worst part also , it doesn't matter whether you're a mechanical engineering student or EEE or CSE you should have to learn every single programming language from C to python including DSA and cloud computing which will help you to switch your career easily if you want. but however at the same time the mechanical students feel stressed alot. because they have to study their own field subjects which are not easy at the same time they have to clear the programming languages which are completely different from mechanical subjects

Placement Experience:

If I talk about my branch, as per my knowledge from 6th semester onwards the students can sit in the placement run. The college offers placement training with individual of expertise from that respective subject. Many top companies visit the campus to list out, AWS, INFOSYS, JMAN, TCS, IBM are some if them. More than 50 lakhs package is secured. The average lies around 4 to 5 lakhs per annum. The percentage of students getting placed varies from branch to branch and for some branches it's 100%, the average package for them would be 3 lakhs per annum, and the highest goes around 12 lakhs per annum. Students can apply off campus if they didn't get placed.
