All about Silicon Institute of Tehnology

The overall course curriculum is good. I prefer MCA because I had completed my graduation in Computer Science. The faculty:student ratio is 1:20. Faculties have good understanding about the subjects. Every faculties have completed their PHD in thier respective domains. All exams are scheduled strictly in the starting of the semester. And there is no delay at all. Exams are easy if you have followed faculties notes properly.

Some startup companies visit for providing internship every year. Companies like Nirmalya visits every year. And they pay Rs.13000 as stipend. Most of the students prefer development as it used to have lot of openings in startups.

Placement is decent is this college. The placement cell tries to place every one till the last semester. Placement starts from 7th semester onwards. Many reputed companies like Infosys, TCS and wipro visits every year. The highest package was 7 lpa which was offered by Capgemini but the average package is 3.6lpa. After the degree I joined TCS as software developer.

The course fee for 1 year is 135000 and the hostel fee for 1 year is 30000. The canteen bill comes every month according to the consumption. Fees never hike in 2years. Government scholarships are available sometimes.

Life at campus is good but little boring. And the campus area is very small. Tech fest and Rythmnova are two main fest of Silicon college. It is generally organised in December and January month. Library is good. It has good collection of books. Classroom is spacious and well ventilated. All type of sports are played here but volleyball is played by most. There are various clubs available. Meta academics is most preferrable one.

Hostel has all basic facilities. From last year washing machine has been added. Beds, table and chairs, locker are available. At the time of admission mattress and pillow are provided. The food quality is good. Biryani of Sunday is yummy. The registration for hostel and centeen is done at the time of admission. Some local PGs are available nearby the college campus.

For admission in Silicon Institute, we have to mandatorily appear for OJEE examination. After result got published, we have to register for OJEE counselling process. The selection was completely based on OJEE rank card. The cutoff rank for MCA in 2021 was 600. Eligibility: 45% in graduation and valid OJEE rank card. Application forms are published in Silicon official website. In April start, the admission forms get realeased in the website. There is no such application fee. The admission process was smooth but slightly long.
