Course Curriculum Overview
The reason i chose Computer Science Engineering in particular because, the course is in demand for the software market. The course has in depth content and is full flegdly comfortable for the students as it has elective subjects for the students
Placement Experience
The students become elgible for placements right from the 5th semester of their course work. The students who have no standing arrears become elgibile in the first place. There are many companies visiting the college where Infosys, Cognizant, Virtusa are the mass recruiters. The are many other companies like TCS, Wipro, Zoho etc. visiting the college placement drive. On overall 90% of students gets placed every year. The highest package of 25lakhs per annum was offered by amazon for 3 students. My plans after getting degree is to get placed in any of the company.
Fees and Financial Aid
The Course fees set by anna university is set at a nominal amount as it is affordable by most of the students and it might have a hike of 2% to 3% a academic year resulting in raise of 1000 to 2000 rupees. The fees at the time of joining the college is fixed for rest of the course period. There are many scholarships which comply with this college like vidya bharathi and many more. Financial Assistance is applicable for elgible students and there many schems which result in stipends
Campus Life
The are very less number of fests conducted in this college as it contains a strict environment where girls and boys shouldn't interact with each other.The collection of books the library comprises is endless and it gets updated every month. Also the college subscribes to many national and international journals. It subscribes to various newspaper. The classrooms are modern and well equipped with latest hardware. The college encourages the students who are capable and talented in sports and extra curricular activities. There are clubs in the college but not much importance are given to them.
Hostel Facilities
The college consists of average Hostel facility on an average. The rooms are not well equipped. They seem to be a bit dated when compared to modern day hostel rooms. The college has an astonishing menu and food served is absolutely delicious. This college provides the food which is nutrious and completes a balanced diet. The affordability of hostel is quite high for the amenities provided in the hostel rooms. But due to conditions outside, the people who are away from home chose to stay in the hostel. There are PG or rented rooms near by.
Admission
I chose Computer Science Engineering course. The elgibility criteria of the course is to have a minimum of 65 percentage of the total marks in the 12th board examinations. There are two modes of intake one is filled under government qouta which happens on the marks obtained by the students of Tamil Nadu in their 12 th Boards. The Second one is by management quota. There equal number of seats for both the quotas. Management Quota involves the applicant to pay a fixed amount of capitation fees set by the college and the regular fees set by the anna university. I prefer the admission process to be online which makes its much more easier as it doesn not require the applicant to visit the college in particular as they might belong to different places. Making the placement process online makes it easier to classify the application forms.
