Course Curriculum Overview
This course primarily focuses on the programming aspect which I was very interested in which became the main reason for choosing this course. There was a good faculty:student ratio since there are not many seats in BCA ,therefore, there are less students for the teachers to focus upon. There are well qualified faculty for this course with a great teaching methods. most of the professors were PHD holders. There are total of 6 semesters from which two are held yearly. The difficulty of the exams is moderate.
Internships Opportunities
There are not any campus placements provided to the students which is a major drawback of this university. Although there are some low grade internships provided to its students with a stipend of 3000/- or more.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fees for this course is 33500/- per year ,i.e., 15000/- per semester approx . There is not any hike in the fees thoughout the course. The fees remains same throughout the semester. There is UP scholarship available for the students which returns considerable amount back to the students. Since the course was introduces withing last few years, there are not much job opportunities within the campus.
Campus Life
There are no such fests such as annual fest or other. Although the students may collaborate within and organise something on their own. The university consists of a large well-eqipped library with books easily available to its students. The classes too are well eqipped with technology such as fans, AC, projectors , etc. The university consists of huge playgroung for its students for conducting sports & extra curricular activities on the campus. The are no clubs or any social groups run by the students.
Admission
There was an entrance exam held for the admission in BCA course. Students who were passed in 12th with maths or bio as their main stream could opt for this entrance exam. The application form for the examination was available on the university's website ddugu.ac.in with an application fees of Rs. 800. The cut-off for this exam usually lies between 100-120 for SC/ST, 130-150 for OBC's and 150+ for General.
