The college is amazing. You will see yourself evolve from a person to a sophisticated hotelier and infact you would love the change and it would be evident. See yourself grow in JSHM from a Boy to Gentleman and form a Girl to a Lady.

I am a Science student, cooking also fascinated me and so did baking. So I opted for Hotel Management. My elder brother also did from the same college and is doing great in cruise line so I opted for JSHM. They had a Entrance Test which was more of an aptitude test followed by an Interactive Interview.

The curriculum is very good. It is detailed and would teach you all aspects of the Hotel and Tourism Industry. I being a Science student initially found Accounts and Management difficult but the teachers helped me and I worked hard and voila the hard work showed up during the results.

Yes, in the second year we have 5 months of internships in hotels. For that we have to prepare a formal resume and select two cities where we would like to do our internship. Then the next step is the interview wherein the people of respected hotel interview the candidate. The stipend depends on the policy of the hotel you choose to work in.

The same process happens during final placement. The candidate is interviewed. Depending on your eligibility and your area of interest you get jobs. Our seniors are established and working at good posts in hotels like JW Marriott Mumbai, Grand Mercure Surya Palace Vadodara, Welcome Hotel by ITC Vadodara.

The college focusses on the development of students. What would be more better that the management students managing the college events. The students who are interested to organize events are welcomed. Events like Get together, Navratri, Sports, Picnic, Woman's Day and the college convocation are some events that happen in JSHM. I have organised a Get Together in which whole college participated which was pretty good and had an amazing response from the faculty and the students.

The fees is feasible. The inclusions in the fees justify it. In that fees the college provides the students with College Uniform , Service Uniform , Kitchen Uniform , Kitchen kit , French Dictionary and obviously the delicious food of cafeteria with high speed wifi facility in the whole campus. Well what else do you need ?

No idea of this topic. To my knowledge there is no scholarship provided by the college as such for now.

The campus if fun. You see all aspiring hoteliers around you. There are more boys than girls like in the ratio of 7 : 3. The college has it's yearly picnic to a destination picked by students. Annual get together , festival celebration , guest lectures , workshops. The kitchen and restaurant where the students practice is just amazing. The kitchen is equipped with all the modern equipments and crockery.

I am a Barodian so I have not much idea about the hostel. But the hostel is nearby college and the housekeeping staff cleans it every day. The hostel has its own WiFi and air-conditioned. It's on a sharing base 2 or 3 in a room and 10 in a house. There are variety of food served in the cafeteria.

The alumni network is good. The seniors give their advice and talk to you about their experience and thoughts and ask your experience. They are ready to help and have a experience chat with you anytime.

The exam pattern is new here. I personally liked the pattern. Our subjects are on hourly basis 45 hours , 30 hours and Practicals are of 60 or 90 hours. We have Mid term exam which happens in middle of the subject i.e, if a subject is of 45 hours then we have a mid term in 22nd or 23rd hour and we have final exam in the 44th and 45th hour. The practicals follow the same. Along with written exams we have presentations, role play, scrap book and other activities.

When I decided to do Hotel Management, the next day I went to the college and to get the details of the course. I was so convinced that the next day I came back gave my test and interview and got the admission. In the entrance I scored 80 and in Interview I scored a 94. They have 2 Batches Summer(July) and Winter(January). I choose for the Summer Batch.

In one word Awesome. The faculty is a friendly that you would enjoy all your lectures. They are so experienced. They have alot to teach. They would explain you topics with their own real life experience which makes understanding more easier. Also the classroom activities help would you understand the new concepts easily.
