Likes

I like the environment of the college and its friendly staffs.
Our department labs are well maintained and it contains machines that are manufactured before independence.
Our department library is awesome and it has all books regarding our subjects . Our college is taking good steps in placements.

Dislikes

Maintainence is the main problem in our college. If it is maintained,then it will be good.
Our college is less active in cultural side.
Only limited companies arriving at our college for placements.

Course Curriculum Overview

I have chosen this course because of its scope and developed lab facilities in the college. Our department has a lot of qualified staffs and mentor mentee system is available in the college. One mentor will guide 10 mentees and give necessary instructions for their improvement.On an average 100 students will be studying in one year and our department have more than 30 qualified staffs. All the staffs are Ph.D holders and they are well talented in teaching.Two months once, internal exams will be held and at the end of fifth month, practical and semester exams will be held. It was not hard to pass examinations.

Placement Experience

Seventh semester students are eligible for attending placement interviews.PENTAGON SPACE PVT LTD, Chennai, AZENTIO SOFTWARE PVT LTD, Chennai, SPIC are the companies commonly offer placements. Average salary package is 2lpa and the highest package is 15lpa. Nearly 80 percent students got placed.

Fees and Financial Aid

On an average, students should pay .5 lakh per annum and various reservations are also available. Loan facility are also available. Post matric scholarship and first graduate scholarship are also available. The department will arrange for placement s in college itself.

Campus Life

Life in AU college is good. It's environment, surroundings everything will be neat and clean. Our college is bit low in cultural activities. Fests and all will not be conducted. Books related to the course will be available in our college library. Books for various exams like GATE are also available. Various interesting journals are also available. Our college will give importance to sports . They encourage sports and conduct sports day also.

Admission

I have applied for TNEA counseling and the admission is through this process. Normal cut off for this course in AU college is 160/200 for OBC category students. Students with suitable cutoff are eligible for this course. Once you got selected in TNEA counseling, you can directly visit the college for admission. Reservation is there for various category students and cutoff will be varied according to the category. And government school students have special reservation too.

Placement Experience:

top tech companies will come to our campus for replacement some of them are Amazon, JP Morgan, TCS, cognizant according to our skill level, they will choose before applying for any company. And the average placement they offer is 7-10 LPA. You should pass some exams in our college, which is held by our placement cell, so those are pretty much annoying nearly 10 exams they will put just for applying for each company.

Good college

Course Curriculum Overview:

Curriculums are good (it depends on depts) and they are updated and new electives/ cbcs are added thus updating curriculum and there are subject with heavy lab which don't have end sem instead lab and only internal which is not what other colleges have. they also have open book test for subjcts like programming languge so students can focus on learning the language instaed of memorizing. however as we are batch of a new regulation we are not aware of kind of questions that would come. however forthcoming batches won't be having this issue. unlike other collges only 2 internal exams and 1 semester is conducted. both the internal is given equal weightage ( having unit 1&2 and 3&4 for each exams) and retest is also conducted for internal however even if one exam not written they need to write all 4 unit incase of health issues etc. 50% internal and 50% external. so if having good internal can easlity score well in total. However if one fails to secure internal then passing the subject becomes very hard. Core subjects however prepares well for real-world. however i feel curriculums should be slightly revised so that students learn everyhting systematically instead of memorizing. Good internships

Placement Experience:

From 5th semester, if you have required skill sets you can go for internships and placements. There are more than 600 companies that include Tata, Mahindra, Google, Deloitte and many more. Highest package was of 1.2 crores and average package is 8 -9 lakhs. I don't have the exact statistical data but yaa more than 70% students get placed. I am looking for a high pay job after getting the degree

MY COLLEYE LIFE

Placement Experience:

They start conducting interviews after completing the 6th semester. At least 6 companies come for the campus placement like tech Mahendra, TCS, and manufacturing companies like sakthi auto-complete, tata motors, etc. They placed a minimum of 150000 per aum. The percentage of students getting placements is 30%. Get a job in a reputed company.
