Remarks

The college is a minimal and affordable way to pursue your education. But you have planned your career ahead and have a determined goal. I suggest you look elsewhere. The college is not bad and neither are the students, but the outdated education system and policy makes it just a govt. College with no future.

Entrance Preview

I didn't take any exams for this college. I opted for this because I knew nothing about the state's education system at that time and just needed to get into a college.

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

The course curriculum is from the utkal University and provides basic education but hasn't been updated since long. If you are looking for a course that needs to be fulfilled in the basic level without much details or a traditional approach to the education system regulated by the society and government, you would most likely want an admission in Maharishi College of Natural Law. The only irony is there is no course for the law.

Internships Opportunities

I have not come across any internship parts when I was a part of the college for three years. But, I was not the suitable student that should be asked this question. I was not good at academics or had any interest in the course I was pursuing. But for other students, there were no opportunities such as internships as its a low-level govt institute with no exposure at all.

Placement Experience

0.5

If the students really want to acquire jobs after they complete their education here, they need to go out there and find it themselves. There are no placement or job opportunities in the college. As I said, it's a low-level govt institute with no exposure.

College Events

4

The college events are moderate and actually enjoyed by students. I had no interests in it so I never went. But they conduct, freshers parties , farewell parties, any big festival (mostly Saraswati and ganesh puja ), annual functions and occasionally some cultural events.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee structure is very linear and affordable. That's why most of the students come here. It's a government college with low fees. The education is not bad at all if you consider fees. But if education was to be compared with money, there's no point to get one.

Fees and Financial Aid

All the scholarships are provided by the government. There is no loan facilities or scholarships by the college.

Campus Life

2.5

The diversity provided by this college is very balanced. A lot of students with different variation regarding their background study here in harmony. This is the most amazing thing about the college. It is very diverse and friendly. The students don't care about any differences in any category. They are very Liberal and mature in this format.

Alumni/Alumna

Most of the students leave this place after they have finished their education. The only ex-students or alumni that still stick around are the one who has no interest in helping the junior students and is mostly into politics.

Exam Structure

The exam structure is yearly. The main exam is the final exam that is conducted at the year's end. That is the exam that matters. They hold a half yearly exam as well but it's just for attendance purposes. However, the exam structure has changed after I passed out. I was the last batch with the final exam structure.

Admission

You fill the form for this college online or manually at the college. Then according to the course you're selecting and your marks from previous years and the seats available, they choose your status. If you are a commendable student, you get in first. If you lacked make in previous exams, you need to wait for the wait lists.

Faculty

3.5

The faculty is well qualified and apart from the course taught here. But the course is just not that good enough to be taught. There are some people who are a disgrace to the Indian teachers and the education but that is just a few bad apples in the bag. The administration is rigid and very old fashioned in the way of their work. They haven't changed their working style in a million years and they are not at all friendly to the students. But have to say, they do their job as required but a little harmony would go a long way.

Placement Experience:

In our college, final-year students are eligile for campus placements. While i don't recall the specific companies that visited, one of my friends interviewed with Axis Bank and got selected with a package of around 2.4 lakh. The exact percentage of students are placed and details of average or highest packages are unclear to me, but the placements process provides opportunities of those actively seeking jobs. After completing my degree, I plan to pursue an independent career rather that seeking a traditioinal job placement.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose this course bcom because I want to be a Certified Management Accountant (CMA). I think this is the best course I can opt for. All faculty members are good, calm and friendly so that students can communicate with them frankly but still we respect our faculty members ,teachers and head of our department. Moreover, faculty members are changing each semester wise. So till now everyone's teaching methods are well and good. Our semesters are conducted twice in a year and in between that internal exams are conducted for students practice. As from my point of view none of the exams could be difficult to pass, because if you study properly you will perform well in exams , if you didn't study then you will not perform well, as simple.
