Course Curriculum Overview
The course curriculum is designed according to the new education policy and offers electives based on the student's choice. At this institute, all faculty members are highly qualified from top institutes around the world. Each topic is taught by a separate teacher who provides in-depth knowledge of the subject. The semester lasts for approximately four months, with two quizzes, one mid-semester exam, and one end-semester exam. If you follow the teacher's notes, passing the exam becomes easy.
Internships Opportunities
Many companies offer internships in various roles, including software and core positions. Some of these companies include Flipkart, Amazon, DE Shaw, and GeeksforGeeks. The monthly stipend for these internships varies from 50,000 to 2 lakhs per month, depending on the company and the role.
Placement Experience
Students become eligible for placement after their 6th semester. Some of the top companies that visit for placement include Amazon, Flipkart, Razorpay, Oracle, Zomato, Deshaw, Microsoft, Wipro, Qualcomm Snapdragon, Samsung, and more. In the field of Electrical Engineering, out of 64 registered students, 62 were successfully placed with the highest package of 46 lakhs also average package is 26 lakh. The placement percentage for IT Indore is 96.88%. My plan is to pursue higher studies in foreign universities.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fees for each semester include 1 lakh for tuition, 24,000 for hostel, and 20,000 for meals. There are several scholarships available for studying at IT Indore. For example, the Medhavi Scholarship is available for MP students, which offers 100% off on tuition fees. Additionally, 67% off in tuition fees is offered to OBC and general students with an income between 1 to 5 lakhs, and for SC and ST students with an income below 5 lakhs, the entire tuition fee is waived.
Campus Life
There are many annual tech fests that take place, such as the Inter IIT sports competition, which provides students with an opportunity to enhance their sporting skills and learn about different cultures. Other events include Lakshya for sports, Fluxus, Techsoc, and more. Our university has a grand central library which houses books from Indian as well as foreign authors. Almost all books are available in the library, making it a great resource for students. For students who are interested in sports, we have NSO sports classes and a sports complex that offers a wide range of sports including squash, table tennis, badminton, and more.
Hostel Facilities
IIT Indore is well-known for its luxurious hostels. The hostels offer 24/7 WiFi availability and hot and cold water for bathing. Additionally, we provide purified hot, normal, and cold water for drinking. Our hostel is also the cleanest and newest in the area. The quality of meals is good, but students may find it difficult to adapt during their first year as they transition from home-cooked food to hostel food. Every student at IIT Indore is provided with a hostel room. The hostel mess provides breakfast, lunch, high tea, and dinner. Unfortunately, we do not offer day scholar facilities, so students cannot live in rented rooms.kfast, lunch, high tea, and dinner. To secure admission in IIT Indore, students need to appear for JEE Advanced. However, to be eligible to give JEE Advanced, students must first qualify JEE Main and score a rank in the top 1.5 lakhs. Admissions to IIT Indore are done on the basis of rank secured in JEE Advanced. The application form for JEE Main can be found on the NTA website, while for JEE Advanced, a separate website is available, operated by the IIT conducting the exam. Additionally, there is a reservation policy in place where 27% of seats are reserved for OBC, 7.5% for ST, 15% for SC, and 10% for EWS .
