Course Curriculum Overview
The reason I chose this course was my interest and passion towards coding and computers. I don't regret my decision of taking admission in Maharana Pratap Engineering College, Kanpur. The faculties over here are very helpful, well-qualified, well-mannered and guide you through any difficulties regarding your studies. The faculties are more like your friends and you can share anything but you should also give them the respect. Modern day teaching techniques are adopted and the classes are very interactive with the use of PowerPoint presentations and citing real life examples. The exams are conducted timely. There are 5 surprise tests and 5 unit tests of each subject. Then there are 2 mid-semester exams and 1 pre university test before the final semester exams.
Internships Opportunities
The internships are offered by Amazon, Google, Infoedge, and many more companies. Many roles are offered like web development intern, front-end developer intern, associate software engineer intern, etc. The stipend offered is between 10000-20000 for smaller companies and between 100000-150000 for bigger companies.
Placement Experience
A student is eligible to sit in campus placement drives by the end of the 6th semester. Many top-notch companies visit our campus for recruitment like Wipro, Walmart, Informatica, Hike Education etc. The highest package was of 49 lakhs per annum and the average package is around 7 lakhs per annum. More than 60% of the students are placed each year.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fee structure is flexible and the course fee is also justified. A student with financial issues is properly assisted and a scholarship is also provided and the student can deposit the fees through their scholarship. The placement offered is also very good with higher packages (the average package is 10 lakhs per annum). Proper training is also provided so that better placement opportunities can be grabbed.
Campus Life
The college hosts many fests including a sports fest named Apex, and the annual cultural fest Encuencia, freshers are welcomed with a massive fresher's party, and such fests are organized in the college all around the year. There are also special parties organized for hostel dwellers on the occasions of Diwali, Dussehra, New Year, etc. The college has 2 libraries having books and journals related to every subject. Proper classrooms having projectors and advanced technology are conducted. Students are encouraged to participate in sports events and perform their best.
Admission
You can take admission through UPCET (earlier UPSEE) or through their official website. The admission staff is very helpful and guides you during and even after your admission process. The course fees are justified and comparatively less than most of the other colleges of the same level. A variety of courses are offered including bachelor's degrees in fields of management, technology, computer applications, pharmacy and pharmaceutical sciences, and many more. A master's degree in management, computer applications, and pharmacy is also offered.
