Course Curriculum Overview
I chose MBA because I wanted to pursue a career in marketing management in digital marketing and portfolio management. I was interested in learning digital marketing skills which are offered here as a part of the SPPU MBA curriculum. The course in GSMCOE and MBA consists of 4 semesters, each having 8-9 subjects. The electives allow students to choose their area of specialization from a wide range of options such as finance, marketing, HR, OSCM, and business analytics. The faculty ratio is 1: 15 here.
Internships Opportunities
The placement wing is well equipped here to guide students through a chain of opportunities in industry. Justdial, Technoherz, Thermax, Infosys, Tech Mahindra, Hexaware, and Eclerx are companies that have the presence of srudents.
Placement Experience
Placements start from Semester 2. We are prepared with the curriculum of SIP which offers us do internship programme and is a starting point for all such placements. This year along with us almost 60% of students got placed while completing their SIP programme. The placement cell has a large network of placement opportunities and they connect us to industry professionals through this network.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fee at GSMCOE and MBA is found very reasonable for us. Based on the CAP round we have a financial assistance scheme too as a scholarship if we clear the semester with Excel marks. The fee is 70000K for Open, 40000- for OBC/EWS,7000 -ST/VJNT/TFWS. While working I got placed in a Digital marketing firm called Technoherz which delivers excellence to our clients and empowers the environment to people through digital excellence and ecosystem.
Campus Life
The campus at GSM COE has two fests arranged for students. SParsh and annual tech fest TEchnobash. The library has a rich collection of books. The library also has subscribed to control, TOI, and digital platforms for updates in the field of management. Our faculties arrange case stunts. dies on Companies from the website. The classroom is well equipped with the latest tools and audio-visual system. It has a capacity of 100 + students.
Admission
The admission process for an MBA is monitored under the central admission process - CAP. It is systematic here and the college itself has a center and is the home center among other colleges for FC verification rounds and other documentation under the DTE, Maharashtra. Eligibility is as per CET, ATMA, MAT, CAT, XAT based entrance exams. Eligibility is at least 50% in aggregate and 45% for reserved category aspirants. We have to fill online application form under the MHCET website and all instructions are given by the college administration.
