Course Curriculum Overview
The course curriculum is decent in FY we have to study general subjects but in SY the core subjects are introduced in the course. And the subjects are well relevant for today's modern era, so it is very helpful in placement also. The faculty members are also supportive. And there are many teachers who have done there Mtech in IITs. So the qualification of the faculty is top-notch. But there are some of them who dont care about students but their number is very less. So they are ignored. Here the sems are divided into odd and even sems. The odd sem lasts for more time while even sem is shorter. The overall average duration is 5 months. The exam pattern is like if you are attending the class well and having class notes then the exam is easy but if you are not attending the class properly then it is difficult to pass exams. That's the simple logic.
Internships Opportunities
So being a student of the core branch I can surely bet that the internships have 100% placements. The main reason for that is the connection of the college with the GIDC is very healthy as the college is near to the GIDC area where local startups and factories are there. The companies like Anupam, Glasscourt, Elecon etc take the students for internships. Also the project work matters. But the main thing is a learning attitude which plays an important role in the Future.
Placement Experience
The placements at the college are good but not the best. Around 80% of placement is done. The companies like Amul, L & T, Reliance industries, MG Motors, TCS, Infosys, Meditab, Adani Powers etc. For exact placement figures, you can visit the official website of the College. The highest package till now is 40LPA and the average package is around 5LPA. So personally I dont want to get placed after btech. I want to pursue my Mtech and then want a job.
Fees and Financial Aid
So basically the fee structure is not so high compared to other private colleges, so if you are willing to study in a private college then the minimum fees would be around 80-90k per year. And as fees are quite high than gov colleges so the scholarships provided by the university are based on the ACPC rank. If your rank is satisfactory then you will surely get the scholarships from the university. And if you are from a not general category then you have maximum benefits. Currently, I am not having any job from college but I have been working as a part-time graphic designer for a company. You can my LinkedIn profile also.
Campus Life
Campus life is that one thing to which everyone will get attracted to it. Like campus life is an experience that stays with you. Wonderful campus life has exciting events like Garbautsav, Youth Fest, Annual Day, Intercollege sports events etc. In general, the events start from Feb till Sept. The college has one of the biggest libraries in the town with lots of Tech books and journals. The classrooms have smart boards so that understanding concepts is becoming easy. The college has an underground sports complex with includes a badminton court, indoor basketball court, Gym and much more. Also, the college has a dedicated cricket ground, 3 outdoor basketball courts and 2 volleyball courts. So this shows that the college promotes sports activity very much. Also for skill and personality development, the college has a Cyber security club, Book readers club and much more. So this college promotes extra activity more which is more beneficial to students.
Admission
As I was a post covid student who was appearing in the boards and competitive exam so the rules and cutoff system were changed specifically for our batch. But generally, the admission process goes like firstly you have to get the minimum required percentage in your 12th. Then the state will also conduct their own competitive exam like I was in Gujarat so I gave GUJCET exam. Here there is a catch, if you want admission to state colleges then a GUJCET score is valid but if you want to pursue your degree out of Gujarat then you have to write JEE exam. The cutoff for GUJCET is set like 70% of your 12th board percentile and 30% of your GUJCET percentile is summed up and then your rank is decided. This overall process is done by ACPC web. The application process is done by the schools only. We only have to provide our valid information and the exam fees. So we dont have to worry about that, only we have to worry about our preparation for exams. So according to my point of view, it is a good admission process.
Other Applied Colleges
Charotar University of Science and Technology - [CHARUSAT] | Bachelor of Technology [B.Tech] (Mechanical Engineering)
This college is situated far from my home, so due to travelling issue I didn't opt for this college.
