All About LNCT BHOPAL

I am pursuing Electronics and Communication and the reason for choosing this branch is that it gives me 2 paths, either I can work in IT or I can also work in core industries (even PSUs). The faculty-to-student ratio is pretty good and LNCT has a very good amount of faculties in my branch. Every sem, some new teachers come and teach us and this explains why the student-to-teacher ratio is good. The faculties here are very good even above my expectations. All of the professors are from reputed colleges and most of them are from NITs. The way of teaching is also very appreciable. The term exams happen after every 5 months and these exams are very easy to pass but very difficult to score full marks. If a student starts studying even a month before exams, he/she can achieve 9 pointer.

Internship opportunities are also there but only for those who study really hard and have all the knowledge about there field. There are no interships for core students only for IT students. I am currently not pursuing my internship and I will try to get an internship by the next 5months. College have various projects in there curriculum and we have to make the mini project, minor and major projects which helps us become more industry friendly.

In my first sem, the fee was 58000rs and currently its 55500 in my fourth sem and I didn't see any hike in fees and the cost to study is pretty decent because the yearly fee is 110000 for EC students and it is 125000 for CS students because our bus fee is free which is 14000. There are various scholarships which are available for obc and sc st students. I am from general background that's why I don't have much knowledge about scholarship but my friends who are from OBC background gets 24000 per year and those who belong to SC ST gets above 60000. If you're a good student then fee waivers are also available and your fee will be reduced to 8000 per year. As compared to other colleges of Bhopal, lnct is on the expensive side.

College life is good here. The annual fest happens every year during the month of April. In the annual fest, concert night and dj night happen along with tons of games and other competitions. Books are also easily available from the library and the library is a very cozy place to chill and relax. The classrooms also have projectors, good benches, and whiteboards. Classrooms have enough benches for the students. Some classes have AC and some also have cushion chairs. Every year lnct organizes the engineering olympics where various sports activities are conducted and it also has a private gym for students and staff. There are also various social clubs such as NCC, NSS, orators, raahat.

After your counseling, your college will be provided and you have to make a visit to the college for the admission formalities. To get enrolled in CSE for a general student, 83-85 percentile are enough. For my branch which is EC, 50Percentile is enough. For SC/ST students, you can easily enroll with 40 percentile. For admission, I don't think so there was any admission fee but you have to pay for your first semester fees along with dress, bus fee and hostel fee(if you opted). The application process starts right after all the MPDTE councelling is over. There are various benifits for reservation students , they can opt CS in 40%ile and also they get fee waivers from MP government under scholarship programs. For good scorers, fee waivers are available. In my opinion admission process is smooth and there's no scope for improvement.
