Remarks

My experience here has been very different when compared to my life back home. I am learning a lot.

Entrance Preview

Mat. I got 85 percentile. My main reason for opting this college is the nominal fees structure and foreign student exchange program

Course Curriculum Overview

The course curriculum is very good.. we are taught about the subjects in depth with practical examples and day to day news.. we have to do presentation on business news which helps us know about the business environment.. it is not only mba but also offers pgpm and 8 additional certificate courses..

Internships Opportunities

Yes our college provide internship in many renowned company and in our college we have a whole team looking after the internship as well as placements. The stipend is around an average of ₹8000. After internship we need to complete a project on what did the internship help us in and the outcomes which is supervised by our professors.

Placement Experience

As mentioned earlier we have a whole team for internship and placement. Approximately all the students are placed before the end of the 4th semester and some of the bright students get a pre placement offer as soon as they complete their internship. The average job package is ₹600000-700000 p.a.

College Events

At first we had an orientation program where we were given a brief about mba and the faculty.. orientation program was for about a month.. we were taken for a trekking picnic were we got to interact with our batchmates and could make a bond with them. We do celebrate a lot of festivals in college. We have sports day, freshers days, farewell day, convocation day..

Fee Structure And Facilities

At first we need to pay ₹30000 for seat reservation then we need to ₹100000 per semester. For mysore university we need to pay ₹10500 for examination fees and for hostel facility we need to pay ₹84000 p.a. which comes to ₹7000 per month. Except this we dont need to pay anything extra as we get lunch as well as dinner in our hostel package

Fees and Financial Aid

I did not apply for any loan so i don't know about it but if you wanna know you can call the college and ask for ms.bhavani mam and she will help u with the requirements.

Campus Life

In our college the gender ratio is more or less equal as our college supports feminism. We have a lot of club activities every saturday where we get exposure to the outside businesses. We have an annual sport day but we play everyday after college hours.

Hostel Facilities

I don't live in hostel but i have heard that it is very good. The food is yummy. I have tasted their lunch and my mouth was watering after eating the first bite as it was yummy.. in hostel there is one care taker who is very friendly and helpful.. the care taker helps you like his/her son/daughter.

External Expense: Rs.7000 - Rs.10000

Alumni/Alumna

My interaction with the seniors have been neutral so far as i don't interact so much.. but through my friends i got to know that they are very helpful.

Exam Structure

We have 100 marks pgpm exams during the college days which is cut down to 25 for the university and the rest 75 is our university semester s which occurs every 6 months. So by 100 marks pgpm exam we get a pgpm degree with a cgpa and through university exams we get a mba degree. It is a bit hectic as completing the syllabus and taking so many assessment makes it a hectic schedule.

Admission

Firstly i had to register online then had a telephonic interview for about 20 mins.. after a few days i was informed that i was selected and then i had to transfer ₹ 30000 for booking a seat. Before starting the college i had to come to bangalore for document verification and then my admission was done.

Faculty

In college there are a lot in-house faculty as well as out-house faculty.. in-house faculty as well as out-house faculty not only teaches us the subject but are very good and they understand each and everyone's problem and try to help them. They dont let u feel that you are not at home and creates a friendly home like environment for everyone.

I like here faculty and there teaching style as well as approaching all students
There is on campus hostel which is helpful
College is like a corporate culture experience

Campus is strict and hostel Life is strict
Campus size is little small and play ground also
Some of the teacher is below par and to fast to teach

Placement Experience:

Placement is going to happen for everyone by record but there is something that every time some students not get placed my plan is to build skill and learn relevant things and got placed in good company and in a good job

Diversity - We have students from 24 states and gender ratio is equal in all the sections of the batch.
Faculties are very well qualified with a minimum of 10-years industry experience from IIT's & IIM's and also with international exposure.
Security in the campus is very robust which ensures complete safety of the students. Also, there is a separate warden in boys and girls hostel along with 2 security guards.

Dislikes

Discipline - The college is very strict regarding dress code and timings.

Placement Experience:

Last year, around 200+ companies came in our campus for recruitment from various sectors of various industries. Most of the students got converted through PPO's during the 4 to 6 month paid ITP program. Students become eligible for placements after passing all the exams in the third trimester and also after completing their POVAT courses. Top Companies that visited our campus are - Deloitte, KPMG, E&Y, Grant Thornton, Wipro, Dabur, Accenture, and many more. The average package was 9 LPA and the highest package offered was 17 LPA. The placement rate for the PGDM is 98%

Great blend of academics and real industry exposure.

Likes

Faculty is genuinely supportive and always ready to clear doubts, even outside class hours.
Programs like CPMP, IRE, and BMP add real practical value beyond regular textbook learnings.
Campus life is lively with fests, guest sessions and clubs, making it easy to stay engaged.

Dislikes

As a dayscholar, commute during peak traffic hours in Bangalore can get a bit tiring at times.

Placement Experience:

Since we are going into our 2nd year, our batch hasn't been through campus placement yet. Based on previous batch records, though, students are typically eligible for placements from the 4th trimester onwards, once internships are completed. GIBS had a strong track record, with over 200+ companies visiting campus, including names like Amazon, Accenture, Wipro, Mahindra Finance, etc. The highest package offered was around 20 LPA, and average package was around 8.3 LPA

My Campus Life.

Likes

It is very simple to find out collages . Thier website is very easy to use.
The campus life was very good i had done fun while i was in campus i have done many social interaction in campus i have done social work, fun and many otherthing.
The Excellent Faculity's Expertise. Teaching Method was very good and I get excellent mentorship quality.

Dislikes

I dont like the leave process of the university
and i dont like thier charging for low atteendence

Course Curriculum Overview:

The special Aspect was to do relevant things in curriculum that i influenced my decision to choose this course. They have preperes us in good manner for real world for compettions as well. The areas they have to improve is on industial visit shound done every 2 month not in 1 year. The teaching Method should be more didital. The Frequency and Timing of exam at 12pm noon . The ecam level is less difificult if you study.

I like the way of teachers teaching the subject
I like the infrastructure in my college and it will be so peaceful for reading the exams reading subjects

Dislikes

I didn't like the management because they have extra amount for revaluation exams
I dislike my college because they didn't organise any facts because they organise it we early once
I didn't like the classes it's felt like kindergarten

Adakara prepare for a real word applications is very interesting because they have shown some industrial drips like that and take our classes to some industry is two think of real world how in real world the problems will like that there organising some events workshops or knowledge

B-School of great choice in Bangalore

Likes

The college is usually focused on creating a transformative experience for the students. The students here get exposed to practical knowledge more than just theoretical knowledge in classes.
All the subjects include projects which is mandatory which makes the students to get real time experiences outside the college by meeting people outside college.
The students also get to work on a tight schedule throughout their MBA which is a great thing, there will always be something to keep us occupied like events, competitions and sessions which gives real world exposure to students

Dislikes

The college is strict in most of the aspects as they maintain high discipline all the time
Hostel closing time is at 9PM, so it's more restriction on students to go out and order food

Placement Experience:

The placements are good. The college has totally 6 semesters and after the 4th semester the students are eligible to attend the placements. The students need a minimum of 4.8/8.00 CGGA to sit in the placements The companies which visit here are - EY, KPMG, Mindsprint, Lowe's, Accenture, Tata Power, Infosys, Wipro, TCS, Sabre, Oxane, Well's Fargo. The highest package was from Lowe's and the package was 23.7 LPA and the role was Product manager, it was offered for people from engineering background and with 2 years of experience. The average package here is 10.5LPA and most of the companies come for this range. The percentage of students getting placed is close to 95% as some of them don't clear the eligibility and some don't get placement event with good CGPA. Plans after getting degree is to join work and continue to learn

Likes

Faculty: The faculty has a good practical and real life knowledge. Which helps in leaning industry standard skills.
Opportunity: College provides good opportunity and exposure for perfect growth of student.

Dislikes

Campus: The campus of college is not very big, which limits students in organizing bigger occasion.

Placement Experience:

College provides a proper assistance for placements, all students gets placed, exception of 2-3 students are there, placements starts for summer internship one two months after entering the college, the procee is on till maximum of students gets placed. In and arround 50-80 companies visit campus for hiring and offers is made to every possible students eligible. Highest package stands at 18 lakhs and is between 10 to 11 lakhs. Nearly every students gets placed, exception of 2-3 students are there. Ambition and aspiration in my views changes as time proceeds, so I believe in short term goal making, though my plans post degree is to get placed in an MNC to kickstart my career from good position, where learning graph is very high.

IIM B has a record of 100 per cent placements both during summer internship placements and final placements. Other than these two there are also lateral placements. Summer internship placements happen in the second semester, and laterals and finals happen in the sixth semester.

Practically 80% of my 2020 batch was given job offer by top recruiting organizations like Amazon, iGate, Accenture, HCL, Infosys, Wipro, DE Shaw & Co. Typically the average package they offered to people was around 3- 4 lakhs and the highest was way up to 10 lakhs. Our College possessed an active location cell that functioned hard to provide recruitment and other job opportunities to us.

Impact of college life on my personality

We have the privilege to attempt CAT, MAT, XMAT and KMAT with PGCET. These exams are quite frequent and there are scholarship based on each exams and their cut off value which are greater than 90%. The PGCET has a set of students that are allocated to the colleges based on their score and this score would affect their preference in the colleges.
