Remarks

Overall the experience was good. I got placed but studying at budget fit for my pocket and from a reputed college.

Entrance Preview

I had given RPET and scored 60%. I had heard a lot about this college and knew that it's fees is low so I had decided to take admission here. There was no interview process I was selected on score of RPET. my dream was to become an engineer so I chose to do it.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

Computer science, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, electronics engineering etc. Were the electives. I chose mechanical engineering because I love bikes & cars. The course was full of practical learning divided in 7 semesters.

Internships Opportunities

No the college didn't provide any internship some faculties suggested about it and I did it independently from Mahindra & Mahindra during summer holidays. It was good. I learnt a lot. I didn't get any stipend

Placement Experience

4

Placement were really good. College had tied up with Mahindra & Mahindra, tata motors, force motors, heromotocorp and many others who came for recruitment. The average package was around 3.5 lacs.

College Events

3.5

Yes the college oragnised many events. Mostly technical & cultural. All were mostly annual feats. They were really big. Many students from other colleges in city came to our college feats. Footfall was around 3000 people. College authorities guided students in organising but students did the execution.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fees was 60,000 per year which was very cheap as I had already mentioned. Hostel fee was around 70,000 per year.

Fees and Financial Aid

Scholarship was given to students in need as well as top scorers who applied for it. Students who required college education loan were also provided necessary help from college.

Campus Life

4

Yes the events which were organised in college helped a lot in grooming my extracurricular skills. I got chance to show my managerial and public speaking abilities. Facilities were pretty good.

Hostel Facilities

3

Hostel was moderate but well maintained. We shared rooms in double and triple occupancy. They were not PGs. The hostels were dedicated to the college students itself. The food was not so good. But still I managed.

Alumni/Alumna

Interaction with the seniors was really well. But there was no platform for alumni to interact who have passed out. Alumni meet was also not organised.i don't think that alumni contributed to overall development of the college as well as students.

Exam Structure

The lab sessions were hectic as they are in mechanical engineering. The exams were moderate. Sometimes tough sometimes easy. It wasn't a chill culture. Yes I was tired during examination

Faculty

3.5

Faculty were good. Some were very good and some were average. They had experience above 5 years atleast and most of them were PhD holders. They were moderately interactive and the standard of teaching was average.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Curriculum includes lab works, workshops and seminars. Which influence the choice to choose the course. But they are lacking to get hands on experience. Though they are guest lectures and seminar which is highly beneficial. Need to provide report on summer internship, industrial training, which is mandatory according to curriculum. Which helps in gaining hands on real life skills. But students still pass this barrier using fake certification and copied reports. And faculty is not strict about this. I believe the latest technologies which is not integrated in curriculum like AI/ ML ,recent frameworks , even if integrated not taughtd in depth. Like we have subjects AI , ML but no practical learning. Assignment are huge burden with little learning we need assessment that tests understanding rather than memorization. More subjects needed on softs skills especially in last year during placement season. Live project with company as all student are not able to land good internships. Frequency of exams like midterm( 2 in 3-4 months) ,practical( at the end of semester just after 2 nd midterm exam). End semester exams - 10-20 days after practical exams.

Campus palcements at GMEC Ajmer are quite good, especially foe CSE and core branches. Students become eligible for placement grom the 7th semester, and many companies visted the campus every year. Some of the prominent recruiters includes TCS, Wipro, Infosys, capgemini, cognizantand tech mahindra among others. Highest package varies every year (in 2025 it goes to 13 lpa) Average package: Ranges between 3.5 to 5 lpa Approxi, ately 80-85 5 of eligible students got placed, especially those from technical backgrounds with good coding and communication skills. Some students also go for off-campus drives or pursue higher studies like M.Tech or MBA. As for my plans, after completing the degree, I aim to either get placed in a reputed IT company or pursue higher studies depending on the opportunities available and personal career goals.
