They need to have more passionate faculty. More interesting curriculum and more open-minded/ broader perspective.

I had written AIEEE, don't remember the score. Was contacted by some consultant with AVIT as an option.

The course in general was focused on the prescribed books only research was with respect to the Projects in 3rd year and final year. They cover all the fundamentals of the subject in general with both theory and practical; but more subjects are on the theory aspects. While doing project I could pick my own topic of interest relevant to the course and research as required.

No, During my time the college didn't have any internship program in place that I am aware of. They may have such option now.

If you have good score they will allow you to go for off-campus recruitment including HCL, TCS, Wipro etc. Not many good options in campus. There were some recruitment drives by some KPOs and BPOs, including one held at the main university at Salem.

Initially there was only a sports and cultural fest at the college, but by the fourth year we had a tech fest added as well. The fest weren't particularity great, but reasonable, covering most of the basic types of events, you'd expect.

The fee structure was feasible but they included a laptop that needed to be purchased through them as part of the joining.

I'm not aware if there is any scholarship / loan facility offered by your college

College student populous was quite diverse with student from all over India. Most student have an inclination to group with other students from their state, but you can mingle with anyone without issues. There is the general Girl vs Boy interaction taboo to a small extent and obviously no open affection in campus, I mean not even holding hands.

Hostel comes with a simple shared room with bed and cupboard and just enough room for these and a little more. Food is not particularly appetizing. There are 3 days with special items like chicken for non-veg and cauliflower Manchurian for veg; otherwise, it is the same sambar/dal, rice/roti and subji.

Not much of an alumni network other than some FB groups. Senior student are mostly pretty useless if not outright assholes; there are very few exceptions.

The Exam structure were pretty well distributed with lot of breathing space and preparation time beforehand. There would be the semester exams which is the main and a pre sem exam which is a bit more closely packed than the main sem but still not very congested.

Receive consultant call based on AIEE score. They informed me of the options available. We arranged a schedule with their office in Chennai. Went to head office in Chennai with required documents Submitted Document and made fee payments Process was relatively straightforward

There a few passionate faculty, but in general most are just egocentric and with zero knowledge outside their prescribed books. For example while writing code they may mark your code as wrong even if it's not the same as the one in the books even if your output is correct. Qualification wise I believe most (not all) were B.E. not sure though.
