Our College is the best one to get higher education. They have variety of courses from Agriculture to ICT and from Physical education to Physics / Chemistry.

We gave entrance exam organized by University to be selected for the courses and colleges Rank wise. I always wanted to go into Computers line so BCA was an option for me to choose. Khalsa College is the best college in Amritsar and its also our family college.

Our Curriculum was full of all old and modern learning about Computers. They make sure that they are teaching us all aspects to go out and work in industry well. Also prepared well to go for our higher studies.It was covering all the major subject like networking, programming, electronics and even Architecture of computers.

Generally companies do come to get students to hire or give internships. but not our course, so don't know much about it.

Our class didn't get any placements from college but there were other courses where they directly get hired. We went out and got very good opportunities ourselves. some gone for higher studies etc. They did masters in different fields and are now all successful in their careers.

We had many events in college from TECH fest to cultural events and even with University youth festivals. In these festivals all the college in the region participate in different categories to show their academic and also extra curricular activities. the highlight of this festival is always the cultural program where different teams from colleges fight for trophy in cultural dance- Gidha and Bhangra.

Fee structure is almost same in every college under our University so it looks OK for all to pay. Poor students or sportsperson gets some waiver depending on the college management. Even if someone have some extra ordinarily talent too. So fee structure was feasible if you compare to other colleges around in India.

Extra Ordinarily talent, sportsperson, belong to poor family - then they give some scholarship. There was a provisions of paying in Installments with special approval from Principal.

Our college encourage the different talent. We had student center, separate canteen for girls only. NCC group, almost every sports team. Active participation in any extra curricular activities in India also abroad. They encourage girl education so give very safe environment. Have some departments only for girls too.

I was not staying in Hostel but heard from other student that it was good. Food was good and clean environment too. The rent was also in budget. Many students from Villages come to study in college so the college had big and many hostels. There was less chances of any complaint as they had a union to keep eye on normal facilities are provided.

Time to time old student visit college to encourage the current students. College have a wall of fame where they put pictures of students who turned into well known people in society.

We had internal exams and then the final year exams. The rules were strict to appear in final year exam. Attendance should be proper and then internal exams were also summed up to give us some average percentage, if one meets that required percentage can go and sit for final exams otherwise they have to redo the internal exam to show that they are ready for final exam.

We bought the entrance exam form from University after completing the 12th Exam. Then we appeared for exam and after getting our results they called for counselling rank wise. There is a big and tough competition to get your favorite college. After we got selected for Khalsa College you pay the fee to secure the seat. Then they give us the starting date of classes.

The faculty is very good, well educated staff. We had a team of staff only to concentrating on us, keenly keeping eye on every students progress and also discipline. It was not like a general college environment where professors comes take attendance , give lecture and go. Here the environment is serious for studies and fun to be with too. Professors are friendly and helpful. They are part of our growing up but with proper discipline.
