Remarks

The college has a good infrastructure and stern management. It is a good time to move and provide more autonomy to students bodies to discover their way. Also, there are many initiatives taken to further improve courses and curriculum.

Entrance Preview

Back in 2012, I was admitted to this college on the basis of my AIEEE ranking. However, now there is a separate entrance test standardized for engineering aptitude. Lucky that I had good grades and the counselling board considered my application.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

The EEE program is very versatile and exhaustive of good subjects for an undergrad. It gives an overall exposure to wide variety of subjects ranging from core electrical to Information tech and even few elementary courses of mechanical and Bio instrumentation. It is a great choice if you want to build a versatile portfolio in your Undergraduate.

Internships Opportunities

No, there is no foster internships from college but they always are ready to recommend the students applying to the place of their choice.

Placement Experience

4.5

Placement and Job is one of the Forte of Sathyabama. Especially in IT firms, it has a good rapport of generating well-qualified engineers. The placement process starts from Junior year (3rd year) with placement training where a number of short courses and aptitude and attitude training is given to students. This more or less is a deciding time where a student is moulded for the industry, Then from early September, the major big league players like Infosys, Cognizant, Wipro and many other firms start coming in. Placement is actually year-round process. a number of respected Companies are associated with the University and drop by to pick the cream students. Placement Cell is very active and provides various opportunities to the student. Assistance is provided till the student enrols for the job till they join in the company.

College Events

4

There are a number of communities in college that correspond and collaborate to conduct a number of a cultural and technical fest. The Cultural fest one awesome time for students to showcase their talent and make some cash and name out of. It is an inter-college event so majorly the whole college is on the roll. As it's associated with IEEE, Sathyabama holds SILICON event every year as one of the largest event in college showcasing technical symposiums, debates, Paper presentation and many other activities. English Literary club is also very active and provide ample opportunities to students.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee structure is quite moderate. looking it from a perspective of a private institution, Sathyabama is feasible to a good standard. The structure is divided into 4 parts, one for each year. The first year fee is collected at the time of admission itself, and the other installments are paid before the end of the year.

Fees and Financial Aid

There are some merit scholarships that are subjected to different parameters. It should be checked before applying. Students who have already enrolled and are in their Junior year (3rd year) are entitled to a scholarship which they can contest based on their academic records, Two toppers of each department are given full fee wavier in the Senior year of college.

Campus Life

4.5

The gender ratio is a good prospectus in Sathyabama as both male and female students are enrolled each year in several courses. The life is pretty engaging with almost 20 different clubs and communities that are highly active in conducting competitions, events and other activities to indulge students.

Hostel Facilities

3.5

One thing people relish more than the graduate degree in Sathyabama is its food. food is in ample and in good standards. All three times food available in an ever serving Mess hall. The staff is good and serves well. Both Non-veg and Veg food is provided for a universal crowd. Hostel facility is also there and requires to be applied early.

Alumni/Alumna

Sathyabama is a reverend name among many Companies in India. The alumni network is spread from senior posts in companies like HCL, Cognizant, Capgemini and even HPE.

Exam Structure

Basically, the program is divided in 8 semesters and each semester has a final exam. Subjects that are taken in each sem has to be cleared in the sem-final exam. Each subject has 80-20 division where 20 marks are credited on basis of performance in Internal exams(2 x 50 marks test conducted in one sem duration and then quantified on basis of percentage to be reduced to a score out of 20). The other 80 marks are from a straight standardized test of 3 hours called semester exam. Apart from this Lab examinations are held with One experiment and Via Voice.

Admission

It was a pretty clear and straightforward in 2012. first round counselling would consider the top rankers and then check for the availability of seats in the desired branch. Then go for the second round in case any seats are left. The process is simple but takes a lot of time as the number of students contesting is high. But the college has a good acceptance rate. Should not be a problem for a good prospective engineering grad,

Faculty

4.5

The faculty is a great mix of very experienced senior professors and young talented lecturers. Well qualified, the faculty is very approachable. The specialization of faculty in their respective fields give them a good reputation. The faculty has a good research academia. A number of papers are published every year from the faculty that showcase their work. Many of these papers are in collaboration with students.

Students can join job drives from the 7th term. Many firms visit the campus for jobs and offer roles in tech and other fields. The pay varies by firm and role. EEC has a good job rate and gives help for job prep. After my degree, I plan to work in the tech field and grow my skills.

Placement Experience:

Students are open to campus placements from 2nd year onwards. There are many companies who visit such as Delloite, Accenture, Cognizant, TCS, Amazon, NatWest, Nokia, etc. Highest package offered is 42 lpa and lowest is maybe 2-4lpa. Around 90% of students get placed here. My plans is to get a job through campus recruitment. Currently I got an internship through campus recruitment in Cognizant so the recruitment is quite nice here.

Placement Experience:

One thing I really need to appreciate at CIT is its placement training program. The placement team conducts regular sessions on 1. aptitude 2. coding 3. communication skills 4. group discussions and 5. interview preparation which helped me feel more confident during placements. The trainers were friendly and always encouraged us to improve our skills step by step. They provide continuous guidance and feedback throughout the training process. Mock interviews and one to one assessments helped me to understand my strength and weak areas and I work on improvements . These sessions not only improved my technical and communication skills but also boosted my confidence . The placement training team played an important role in preparing me for career opportunities and industry expectation
