Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

I choose this college mainly because the course has various job opportunities in the fields of pharmacy, laboratories and research.30 students are there in my classroom. The faculties are well qualified and they are able to convey the points clearly to the students. Their way of teaching is outstanding. however, they use the native language Tamil a lot. Most of the teachers have completed PhD in at least one subject. The exams are conducted every semester and results are also published soon within a time period of one month after the examination.

Internships Opportunities

3.5

Cipla offered a student placement with a 20000 rs starting salary last year. A good placement cell is there they will make the students ready to achieve good posts in different companies. Most of the students are placed as lab technicians and laboratory assistants. Some of them chose higher studies. some of the students are placed in pharmaceutical companies as drug analysers and in various other fields. Many students have found their opportunities in quality control fields of food and water

Placement Experience

3.5

From the 4th semester onwards students are eligible for placements. Various companies including sun Pharma, Cipla, devis laboratories etc are important among the companies offering a placement for students About 10% of students are getting a placement with a salary starting from 20000 rs. Most of the students are placed with a minimum salary of Rs 10000.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees are a little bit lower compared to other colleges in India. The fee structure for MSc biochemistry is 25000 per semester and we have to pay examination fees separately which vary from 1500 to 4000. Various scholarships under state/central government like Post matric scholarships are available for the students who are eligible. there was an admission fee of 4000

Campus Life

3.5

Most of the students are from the home state Tamilnadu. Apart from them, there are students from Rajasthan Kerala Karnataka etc. As kerelite we are offered by the college to conduct Onam festival each year. But funds are to be collected from the students themselves. A fest in association with the Pongal is celebrated. That is in the month of January. A vast library with a huge collection of textbooks relevant to my discipline is available. Classrooms and laboratories are good .various sports activities like cricket is encouraged here. Peer corner is conducted by the students. where the students themselves clear their doubts and discuss the topics. The service is available in the college yard. Many clubs like arts sports etc are available here. it is not mandatory to have a club or group. Only those who are interested can join the clubs.

Admission

50% marks are the eligibility criteria for admission to post-graduation courses. The application for admission was available both online and offline. If you choose offline you have to visit the admission cell. admission for post-graduation was open from August 2022 last year. There are reservations available for students belonging to sc/St admission fees was 4000 in 2022.
