Overview of BSc CS degree in PCCCS

Eligibility criteria are the candidate should be passed in both 10 and 10+2 or equivalent exam. Also, 50%+ is preferred. The candidate can be from any stream of IT/CS. I did not take any entrance exam, the application process is simple we have to take the admission form( they will charge 500/-) from the office located in Pratibha college of commerce and computer science building ground floor, and fill and submit it in the same office. I took late admission so had to pay a 20k donation after talking to a consulting professor. They shouldn't be forced to take brochures and prospectus, taking the fee with the admission form. Also, there is a single counter for submitting forms they should give more dates and flexible time to submit the form.

I took this course because I wanted to go in-depth to learn the theoretical part of computer science. I wish to do a research analysis later. The faculty is highly qualified and able to make students understand the whole concept. The ratio is 1:20 which I think is sufficient to address all student's queries and doubts. Attention is equally distributed Most of the teachers who have done their PG have done B.Ed M.Ed and also many are Phd holders the teaching methodology has changed for us and modern technology was used to explain concepts which include PPTs on a projector / smart board for the classroom. Term exams were precisely taken after 6 months. Those were of moderate difficulty with questions being from the textbooks and last year's question papers. Anyone can pass it easily with a little bit of self-study and attending a few lectures.

There were no notable internships offered few from back office/tech support and customer relations associate roles. Tech Mahindra, Atos Syntel, and Capgemini Offered internships but not many were able to grab that. Stipends ranged from 8k to 12k

Students become eligible from 2nd year to participate in drives. There are many offers made by companies visited like Infosys, TCS, Cognizant, Wipro, Tech Mahindra, Atos Syntel, Capgemini, and LTI Mindtree. The highest is 5LPA and the lowest is 1.8LPA for roles like OE, Associate trainee, programmer trainee, graduate trainee, and Senior developer. 15-20% of students are getting placed I have got selected by Infosys as OE and serving the company for 1 year for 2.2LPA.

Fees hike must not be above 5-10% and the cost to study is affordable with a Scholarship from Tech Mahindra/Atos Syntel/ Capgemini. College did not charge any extra fee for placements. And also students from castes can avail of that scholarship. On-campus drives have taken place with companies like Infosys, Capgemini, Tata consultancy services, LTI, Mindtree, COGNIZANT, Deloitte, and HCL participating with 2.5 LPA as an average package and roles like Operation executive, Associate trainee, programmer trainee, graduate trainee.

The college is announcing a fun fair-type fest which is called flair Festo held in Feb month. They also celebrate all the days in February month and there is a huge amount of participation. Tech Fest was conducted from August - September month. Almost all books are there in the library students can take benefit from them. Projector/ Smart White Board/ Quality benches/ good ventilation with spacious classroom and windows. Sports & extra activities are not given much priority. So if someone is thinking to take admission to excel and wants to have a career in sports dont take admission. NSS is held by college students who can participate and in return, they have the experience of social work and awareness also 2-3% is credited in yearly results for it.
