Remarks

Overall college is good. Although it's an off campus college of delhi university still it's better than some other on campus colleges.

Entrance Preview

Without any entrance exam. Just on the basis of my 12th class result i got the admission. I opted for this college because it was very near to where i was staying at that time.

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

Course structure was good in the beginning. We had only 2 discipline subjects and 4 another substitute subjects because of FYUP curriculum. There was no burden of main subject. As we had to study only 2 main subjects. As a research programme we made group with students of other departments also.

Internships Opportunities

No. They don't provide any kind of internship, As far as i know. They invite companies for job placements. Like icici bank, Hdfc bank etc. But college itself doesn't provide any internship.

Placement Experience

2.5

College invites companies for job placements fot students. Like icici bank and hdfc bank came in our last year. Some students opt for the interview. There were 2-3 levels of interview which they had to pass. Few got selected with packages of around 3 lac per annum.

College Events

4

Ncc day parade, vibrations, faiwell parties and other events are used to celebrate in college campus. Usually in vibration, which is the biggest event of the of college that is to be celebrated, College faculty and student union invite celebrities to perform in the cultural event.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fee structure is very cheap. The whole delhi university is known for their cheap and best honours courses in all over india. 10k- 20k is the fee band for per year that is payable at the starting of the new session. As shivaji college is an off-campus college so the fee is very low. But also in other delhi university it's not that expensive.

Fees and Financial Aid

No, there is no scholarship or loan facilities available that i know. But they provide fee concession for sc candidates. They just have go through some procedure and an interview to get fee concession.

Campus Life

4.5

Shivaji college has one of the biggest campus and a big playground also which sports and curricular activities like ncc. The college is situated in a porch area of rajouri garden which affect the gender ratio of college. Because there is an equal ratio of boys and girls in the college.

Hostel Facilities

3

As shivaji college don't have their particular hostels, so there is nothing to say. But still if someone want hostel accommodation, he or she can opt of university hostel in north campus. College has its own cafeteria which quite good in comparison to outside restaurant. The cafeteria is so big and the cafeteria staff also take care of food and hygiene.

Alumni/Alumna

Alumni network is not so goid as we hadn't saw any alumni during my college years. But the seniors were very helpful when i was in my first year. They provided us notes on particular subjects and taught us so many other things that are necessary to live a college life.

Exam Structure

Exam structure is quite easy. I mean not that easy but still one can easily pass the examination if studied well. As now the FYUP curriculum has ended so students don't have the pressure of other subjects. So now they can finally focus on their main subject in the exam. Total marks for one subject is 100.

Admission

Just on the behalf of the merit list that the college produced, i got the admission. So i got the application form from the college. Administration was good. They helped me filling my form. I was unable to submit 1 or 2 documents at that time, so they asked me to submit them after the admission.

Faculty

4

Delhi university is known for their faculty. They all were good in their specific course. Some were phd holders and some were msc and cat cleared teachers. They taught us the main subject with the core. They also taught us some computer software to solve mathematics very easily.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Parricularly the modules which focused on animal science & botany, the curriculum was built to learn from basics to the advance level towards research area of biology which impressed me alot. The focus on animal biology, statistics, cell biology & genetics, ecology & wildlife conservation, Immunology & biotechnology leads a foundation to successfully enter the real-world and apply this knowledge for better cause of humans as well as animals. As the therotical teaching method can differ from on-hand experience on field there is a need to improve the course curriculum around this issue. The learning period was designed perfectly in-course of the prepaption time between each test and it wasn't difficult if we are well prepared.

It's average or below average in term of real world experience curriculum there no such thing. Teaching is not bad there are big screen in class to teach from and blackboard. But most students don't know anything about the real world projects and techniques. Syllabus is controlled by mumbai University is too told and does not have any use in real world industries which need to be changed and most important since IT sector is something which advances and changes each year

Course Curriculum Overview:

I\n Chose this course in specific this college.Because first of all , it was afforrable as compared to others institutes.I can say that we weren't getting any experience which can prepare us for the real world experience like we were made to sit in workshops which was not at all connected to our curriculum. And then later on, when we said we don't want to attend it.We were given lame excuses like this will help you. And we will give you certificates for this. And later on , we were given nothing. Course needs a lot of improvement.I guess because they doesn't favor student feedbacks. The exam are typically in june and depends upon ycmou college dosent have any role to it and its not that difficult with basic knowledge you can score well.
